If he was busted for posession on May 6 that would explain an absence from minicamp. In 2011 he was suspended from the team for unspecified rules violations, which makes me wonder, if it IS the same guy, was it for a failed drug test.

It seems to be an exceptional year for prospects. I don't disagree with any of what I've read here.

I'll go with Mulumba as possible best long shot of the bunch. I have a good feeling about Johnny Jolly too.

If he can make the team even as a back-up I would be thrilled. When he played for us I can still remember him jumping up and blocking passes. We haven't seen that in so long.

Des Moses is an interesting call there Pack93z, and I agree completely on Sean Richardson - they kept him on the roster for a reason last year. I think we could throw Terrell Manning in there too. He might really surprise.

We have SO many players under the radar...

Moses
Manning
Datko
Richardson
Malumba
Lewis
Stoneburner

Add to that some of our late round selections in Palmer and Boddington.

For a completely under the radar prospect we could see Damond Smith enter into the mix, a pretty raw CB out of Southern Alabama who looks like an exceptional hitter. I really liked watching his tape.

I'm gonna go with Barclay stepping up and having the RT spot locked down by the 2nd preseason game. For an UDFA, he stepped up admirably for the Packers. He was one of our better run blockers by the end of the year. Having that in-game experience and a full offseason will do wonders, imo.

Revising and extending my earlier post, JEREMY ROSS: It's possible, I suppose, that he gets cut with all the wide receivers on the roster, but I like the guy's burst in the return game, and he doesn't seem as fragile as Cobb. I also think he is valuable as a receiver, especially if Cobb gets hurt.

Wouldn't it be great if they all stepped up and Ted Thompson could fill holes and also makes trades for future picks since we now have Dorsey and McKenzie as new GMs that would likely be willing to listen to Ted Thompson in order to bring players in to help their teams along with other GMs he works with. We have a number of late draft choices and UFAs with really impressive measurables. Let's hope they can play football.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Possibly hit his head leaning into the glass protecting the food in the cafateria
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Maybe a low flying drone
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Did Savion Williams run into a goalpost or something?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
