Can't say I saw this coming. It certainly helps clearing up the logjam of bodies at DL that the team had and gives more depth to OLB. Since Neal is more of a pass-rusher there's some logic to it.

I could be wrong but I don't think this effects the DL at all... I believe Neal is still going to be mainly a DL guy. But they're also going to put him in some rush OLB roles.
I'm thinking 3rd and long... nickel package which is a lot like a 4-2
DTs (two of the following)
(Datone) Jones, Raji, Daniels or Boyd
OLBers (moved up to play a stand-up 4-3 DE like position)
Perry and Neal
Rush LB:
Matthews (everyone will know Matthews is coming on the blitz, but he won't show what gap he's going though until after the snap)
Cover LB:
(Brad) Jones ... (if they go to dime then Jones comes off the field for 6th DB)
