TE is a bit of a logjam but here is what I think will go down. GB will keep 4-5 TEs.

Finley-safe

Mulligan-safe-mulligan is one of the better blocking TEs in the league, it has become very apparent 🇲🇲 🇹🇹 want to run the ball. For this reason I think he will be in a lot of running sets.

Taylor-60/40- Taylor's main competition is DJ, neither have really contributed at all, but Taylor defiantly has a size advantage, which fits in our "bigger and tougher" theme this year.

Williams-40/60- Williams like Taylor has yet to really do anything and is undersized for the position. But the John Macky award winner may have some tricks up his sleeve. Williams can also play FB in a pinch so he gets some versatility points.

Quarless-???- all depends on how the knee is, he has not been cut yet (DJ Smith) so I am assuming he has passed his physicals so far. If he clears medically I think he defiantly makes the roster.

Stoneburner- danger zone- he has to hope one of the above does not make the team. The one thing he has going for him (aside from his name) is that he seems to bring some receiving skills at a time where we are low on pass-catchers. Outside of that, he needs to show up in STs, and beat someone out.

Bostic-P Squad or cut-

I forgot about Mulligan, so it will be tough for Stoneburner to crack the 53 man roster, unless as rajiroar stated, Quarless isn't ready to play.

Stoneburner will definitely be a PS player if he doesn't make the 53 man roster. Te d just doesn't let these guys go unless they absolutey tank at training camp.

I am actually looking forward to pre-season this year, there a whole bunch of young guys who are going to want to impress the coaching staff.

2 rb's who will get a long hard look in pre-season, 2 wr's who you know will be itching to show what they can do, and a couple of TE's who want to show they belong.

Could be a lot of fun this year when the 2nd and 3rd units take the field in pre-season.

I still will stand by my statement that Taylor and Williams have contributed to the team the last 2 years, just not on offense per say, but as special teamers.

Didn't Mike say that the special team units the past couple of years have been the best he ever had?

Williams and taylor were both members of those special teams.

I don't understand that statement, they were both late round draft picks in 2011.

If you remember they were #4 and #5 on the depth chart, everyone couldn't figure out why Ted and Mike wanted 5 TE's.

They have done exactly what has been asked of them, remember there are 3 units to a team, offense , defense, special teams.

Having guys like Taylor and Williams perform well on special teams is just as important as any other position.

Neither get many reps with the 1st unit, unless pressed into service because of injury.

Neither is in danger of losing their jobs, if Stoneburner works out, he will be the 5th TE on the roster.

Just as Mike likes it.

I totally disagree with you "one more TC" statement, just not the way The Packers operate.

How many RB's have The Packers lost due to injury on special teams?

Alex Green 2 years ago, Brandon Saine last year.( that's just off the top of my head)

5 TE's has become the norm in Green Bay, because these guys are big enough and fast enough to take on blockers and make plays on special teams.

There is plenty of Room for 5 TE's and 5 Rb's(incl FB).

I would rather not see any RB playing special teams.

Big camp battle coming between Taylor, Williams and Stoneburner. I think Stoneburner may beat out both.

Really disappointed we haven't seen more from Williams. I thought he'd make a greater impact on O with his opportunities.

Zero2Cool (18h) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (18h) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (18h) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty

Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product

Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : BALL DON'T LIE
