I like the idea of a veteran safety that would improve the overall play of the deep backs. We have needs in other areas but we also have more veterans in the other groups like LB, OL, etc.
I would like to see a move like this over a 1st or 2nd round safety because IMO we would get a higher level of play over the next couple of years as it just seems the Safety position takes some time and bumps along the way in the learning process.
Sign Huff and Finley. This way they could pick up another TE if need be later in the draft and Ted could concentrate on other positions early in the draft.
With Huff, Bishop, and, Perry, along with maybe a big body early in the draft we would certainly be starting out the year on defense a lot stronger then the way it ended last year.
