I'm not sure if there was a turning point in this season, but that damn Titans game still pisses me off. I think that was are chance to solidify ourselves as a contender and we failed. By all rights, we should have won that game from what I seen live and during the replay.

What do you think was the turning point?

Sorry zero, couldn't help myself. Couldn't wait to mask my ip, etc..

I think the turning point was when Ted Thompson locked BF out of the the locker room last summer. lol, only kidding.

Seriously, I think the turning point was in starting AR. He may be good some day, but if you think he wasn't going to have growing pains this year, then you were serioiusly kidding yourselves....

Mine i think i guess could be called the turning point is also the Tenn game or the Bye week, When Jennings declines to discuss his contract until after the season and the next day Rodgers signs the huge extension. IMO i think that could of caused some animosity among some of the players.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I said that the other day but people thought that was stupid DH... Do you really think that caused some animosity? I am beginning to think throughout learning more about players in the NFL that they may be the most emotional athletes on the planet.

Obviously the turning point was the bye week.
After that the coaches forgot how to coach and the players forgot how to play.

I agree with you, it was the Titans game. Both teams left everything on the field that game, everyone was throwing themselves around, and it ends up being decided on a coin toss, because we have nothing left in the tank to defend against two drives in a row (end of 4th -> OT). For a young team, that's hard to take, I think. They were probably disappointed and lost some confidence and it just started slipping from there.

Okay, since this is the 10th time in two days you've banged the contract gong, I've got a couple questions for you.

1. Are you suggesting that some players on the team, due to this animosity, have quit or aren't giving a full effort?

2. Are you suggesting that Rodgers has quit since/because he got paid?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a little of both but to be honest no matter what i say you won't get it but, for the sakes of others I will clarify IMO players can be a little jealous of Rodgers because they busted their butts for a few years and didn't get the contract and then you turn around and see a guy that is starting his what 7th game and gets a huge contract. Now about your 2nd point it could be that Rodgers got his guaranteed money and he isn't out trying to prove he deserves it. Like i said these are just my opinions but people that watch football know players do these things, Look at a player in his contract year and they usually have better stats and the following year their numbers drop back down after they got there money.

But i know that Rodgers would never do that because he is all about the team and does nothing wrong and nothing is his fault to some people. So go ahead and make your bashes i have put up with them all year long.

I don't know that there was a definite turning point -- I think rather we lost bits and pieces as the season went along, and before.

- The whole Favre thing. Can't discount it, as much as I'd like to. If nothing else, the circus probably stole some focus and time from preparing for the season.

- Grant's holdout and subsequent injury. Prevented him from coming in at the level at which he'd played last year, which hurt the running game and in turn put even more pressure on our 1st year starting QB to perform at an unrealistic level.

- Early-season injuries on the O-line, particularly Wells @ center. He might not be the best center in the league, but we had some continuity going which was lost with that injury. Don't think continuity on the O-line matters? Look @ the Giants' last two games.

- Early season injuries to Bigby, KGB and Jenkins -- not good for run D or pass D. Run D has never recovered.

- The Titans loss was damn painful, and sadly a precursor to what was to come.

- Losing Barnett in the Vikings game. One more injury we weren't prepared to absorb.

There's more, and lots of it. We've had all sorts of things go wrong this season that did not go wrong last season (Brett alluded to this possibility in his retirement speech, if you'll recall -- he knew they'd set the table for a possible letdown this year). Just not a good year, but we've got a core of players that, when they're healthy and augmented by just a few more playmakers, should be able to rebound in a big way next year.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
