Could be interesting....

The Jets already did from what I understand. What does GB have to lose?

Back in September, a 27-year-old from a tiny Norwegian town named Harvard Rugland uploaded this video to Youtube. Despite only ever having played soccer, he's able to do some crazy things with a football: Over-the-head kicks, drop kicks, kicks across gorges, kicks onto a moving boat, kicks from the coffin corner. But most importantly to the NFL personnel people who saw the video, Rugland has the leg to kick 60-yard field goals.

Rugland came to San Diego to work with kicking coach Michael Husted, who spent most of his nine NFL seasons with the Buccaneers. And finally, on Tuesday, he got his first NFL tryout—with the Jets, despite his hype video being set to "The State of Massachusetts," and despite the fact that New York already has a good kicker. Maybe they want to convert Rugland to quarterback or something.

There's precedent. Sebastian Janikowski didn't play football until he was 18, Sav Rocca made his bones in Australian football, and the Jets have rugby player Hayden Smith at tight end. But this is the new world of the NFL legs race: A team either has Greg Zuerlein, or it's trying to catch up.

Impressive indeed, but I'd like to see him do it with 11 big dudes coming to eat him for lunch.

Many of the good kickers can kick a FG from 60 yards out in practice with no one in front of them. It is completely different in a game.

Certainly wouldn't hurt to take a look at him.
Depending how the kicking game looks over the next 2 weeks, the Packers may need to sign a kicking body for the playoffs.

Would I mind adding him to the roster or even practice squad? No.. but bringing in a kicker who hasn't experienced the pressures of game situations cold.. color me in favor of keeping Crosby on the roster.

Were this guy might have real value though is a dual purpose kicker/punter in order for a team to free up an extra roster spot.

But why not take a look at him? Other than the cost of bringing him to GB.. there is little to lose. Maybe a bit more of Crosby's confidence... but really how much of that can be left?

Didn't Crosby have a video where he hit the church bells? The video might be edited very nicely where it only shows the great kicks. He may be good though... you never know.

just going to post some comments of other kickers disecting said video:

As a kicker I had to chime in...there are many HIGH SCHOOL placekickers that can do 3/4 of the same things he does and probably all of the tricks if given a numerous amount of chances...the things wrong that make him look better than he is include he is using high school reg posts, he uses what looks like a 2 inch kickoff block for many kicks, or is using way more than 3 steps for some longerso called field goals or should I say kickoffs.....I myself can do everything in this video myself..I can juggle, I can kick from extreme angles consistently (heck I can kick them from the endline and just curve it through), so where is my NFL tryout, hahaha.....also those drop kicks are more like punts as a true drop kick has to hit the ground if you want to count in an actual game.

Yup. I was a (really shitty) kicker in college and I could definitely do the same.

packerfanoutwest (1m) : if bucs win out they win their division
beast (10m) : Fine, Buccaneers and Falcons can get ahead of us
packerfanoutwest (16m) : falcons are already ahead of us
beast (19m) : Packers will get in
beast (20m) : If Packers lose the rest of their games and Falcons win the rest of theirs, they could pass us... but not gonna happen
packerfanoutwest (26m) : they still are in the playoffs
packerfanoutwest (26m) : If Packers lose the remaining games,,,,at 10-7
Zero2Cool (2h) : We can say it. We don't play.
Mucky Tundra (3h) : But to say they are in is looking past the Saints
Mucky Tundra (3h) : That said, their odds are very favorable with a >99% chance of making the playoffs entering this week's games
Mucky Tundra (3h) : Packers are not in and have not clinched a playoff spot.
buckeyepackfan (4h) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (13h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (13h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (13h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (16h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (16h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (16h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (17h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating
Zero2Cool (20-Dec) : There is a rule that if your name starts with 'b' you lose 15 points. Hey, I don't make the rules, I just enforce them!
wpr (20-Dec) : and then there is Beast. Running away with it all.
beast (20-Dec) : As of tonight, 3 way tie for 2nd in Pick'em, that battle is interesting!
beast (20-Dec) : Lions vs Vikings could be the main last game as it could determine division winners or #1 vs #2 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Apparently, the editing is what pieces comments together. That Ted thing ... fake news.
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : LaFleur "opportunity that Ted Thompson thought was too good to pass up"
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Jordan Love pick was Ted Thompson's idea.
Mucky Tundra (19-Dec) : Kyle Shanahan on signing De'Vondre Campbell as a FA last offseason: “We obviously made a mistake.”
packerfanoutwest (19-Dec) : Alexander’s last season with GB
Martha Careful (18-Dec) : if I were a professional athlete, I would probably look to see who the agent is for Kirk Cousins and then use him
beast (18-Dec) : $100 million fully guaranteed Kirk Cousins gets benched for rookie
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : a lower case b
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : The real lie is how beast capitalized his name in his message while it's normally spelled with
packerfanoutwest (18-Dec) : haha that's a lie
beast (17-Dec) : Despite what lies other might tell, Beast didn't hate the Winter Warnings, it felt refreshing to Beast for some reason.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : whiteout uniforms in general are pretty lame and weak. NFL greed at it's worst
Martha Careful (17-Dec) : The Viking uniforms, the whiteout uniforms specifically absolutely suck
beast (17-Dec) : Thanks Zero2Cool, looks a lot better now
