There are some decent names on that list.

1. Keep Crosby on. Ride the horse until he's healthy or dies.
2. Bring in competition, give Crosby more to think about.
3. Release Crosby outright after tryouts.
If option #3, the FA choices seem to be
1. Old reliable veteran, probably can't kick it more than 45 reliably. Still stuck with kicker restrictions for the postseason, the stop-gap fix for this year potentially takes away a long-term kicking solution if Crosby turns himself around and with age, the old veteran likely won't be around for too long.
2. Younger kicker, more risky and in a couple cases the guy's just flat-out not good, but more long-term potential than a guy at the end of his career that can't kick it 50 yards.
3. Complete unknown. Could completely bomb, or work out well.
It's a big risk either way. Unless Crosby does really bad the last two games, I don't see any competition being brought in until potentially training camp. TBH on 4th and < 3 between our 30 and 40 I'm fine going for it most of the time unless it's close to the end of the game and it's tied/need 3 to tie. We've got a good offense and a QB that can scramble, I like our offense on 4th and 3 better than I like Crosby from 50.
