I was in my wreck in October almost 25 years ago.. but his statement of never being the same, man does that strike a cord. Most of the time, you forget that it once was different. But there are times when it is hauntingly clear and painfully vivid. Physical trauma is probably the lesser of the two parts.. and often overlooked in the recovery.

I found it interesting that he was reflective upon the moments.. and brought it home for me. Sorry.. a bit offtrack.

Anyway.. I am happy to read that he is on target for a physical return early in this coming year, should offer plenty of time for him to be ready for offseason camps and a return next season. Can't be understated how much I enjoy thumping backers. Mission Impossible .

Packers' Bishop using his injury as motivation

"I look at my scar, and I look at the way my knee is, I'm just different," Bishop said Monday at his locker. "Hopefully it can be at least back to where it was before, if not better."

Initially, it seemed possible Bishop might be given an opportunity to return this season. With the injury happening so early in preseason and the NFL's new rule allowing each team to designate one injured reserve player for return, there was an outside chance he would be be able throw his helmet and shoulder pads on again in 2012.

Fast forward three months, and given his latest medical progress, perhaps Bishop could have contributed this season.

"I foresee me being close to 100 percent, I would say, February-ish," Bishop said.

However, Bishop still agrees with the Packers' decision to officially end his season before it ever got started.

"I was hoping (to play this season), but looking back on it, I think it was a good decision to keep me out," Bishop said. "I think possibly I could have been back, but I wouldn't have been as explosive and stuff, so it probably would have been detrimental."

After a few weeks away from the team, Bishop returned to Green Bay following the bye just like all of his teammates. He hasn't attended a Packers game in person since the win at Houston in Week 6, but he now plans to be around more often throughout the rest of the season.

Good luck to him on his continued return. I am looking forward to a hell of a camp battle between Bishop, Smith and Jones.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Zero2Cool (22h) : If we add Isaiah Simmons, book your Super Bowl tickets
Mucky Tundra (22h) : Colts 1st round TE Tyler Warren also got prank called, was that Jax Ulbrich as well?
Zero2Cool (22h) : Jax Ulbrich, Jeff Ulbrich’s son, released an apology for his role in the Shedeur Sanders prank call.
Martha Careful (22h) : apparently he did not participate in practice or play on the east west shrine game nor the NFL combine. The kid was a mediocre spoiled brat
Mucky Tundra (23h) : Yeah that one that was a super wounded duck that Sanders supporters are highlighting to prove a point
Zero2Cool (23h) : Shough is the guy who missed guys at combine isn't he?

Zero2Cool (26-Apr) : Yes. Look at the losses last year. They can win.

Martha Careful (25-Apr) : No thanks. Not a dependable guy to be in the right place and run the right route. Dumb as a box of rocks.
Zero2Cool (25-Apr) : Losing 2nd round pick for a one year rental, not ideal. Especially a headcase.
