Democracy beat the billionaires tonight. Go fuck yourselves superpacks. And most importantly, my Mia gets to have health care all her life.

If I had anything to be invested in American companies right now, I'd be sorely tempted to sell them all short. Or better, buy as many put options as I could find fools willing to sell them to me.

After all, whether I'm right or wrong, I still got the guvmint to wipe my ass and give me free hemorrhoid treatments. They'll just find new ways to tax DakotaT and all the other schmucks dumb enough to try to create real value by working for a living to support me.[sarcasm]

All the while sending their kids to private schools and getting boutique medical care so they don't have to stand in lines to get a throat culture taken.

Billionaires aren't going to be affected. Whether there's a Demolican or a Republocrat in office doesn't matter a bit to them. They're mobile and so are their funds. They'll just spend a few years living in Aruba and cabling a Liechtenstein private bank when they need a bit of petty cash to buy a few skyscrapers in Montevideo or Dubai.

The USA probably won't crash and burn during Obama's tenure. But I'd hate to be the useless asshole who gets elected to deal with the mess he leaves.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Congratulations Barack Obama. The American people have spoken, undoubtedly. Such is our democracy. There's too much emphasis on the President anyway, imo. Either way, let's hope America continues to trend up, even if it's slowly.

The fact that you actually believe this stuff about Mitt (and I don't like him, mind you) proves that you, along with every other lefty out there, have slurped up every last drop of propaganda they pump out.

I like you Flep, but c'mon man.. That's like me making the accusations that Obama = Communist. And yes, I know I have made those accusations. And yes, they were tongue in cheek to get people riled up.

I find this thread extremely amusing.

No one around here cares about the Democrats or Republicans, because both sides are out of touch with what's going on, don't get anything done, don't represent your values and club baby seals to death with puppy bones, but somehow, this thread is the most active one since the religion and Favre threads we had going a couple of years back.

You guys care. Foster's most likely crying in a corner somewhere in his non-insulated room, Zombie has done a little white-man victory dance and Vikesrule finally got rid of that agonizing feeling of Viking fandom for a couple of minutes, cheering after an Obama victory.

I've read all the pieces and funny thing is, I probably agree with Foster the most. Europe's ENTIRE HISTORY has been genocide, racism, war, and violence. So now, they have a generation of effeminate men and suddenly, they get a free pass? I don't think so.

Yes, we have made mistakes, but we WALK ON WATER compared to Europe. Our two worst sins - the slave trade and what we did to the Native Americans, we got from Europe. Hell, England was still supplying slaves right up to the end and actually took the side of the South. I love how they conveniently forget that.

As for Romney/Obama, don't give a flying fuck. Both of them are pro-police state. Both of them are warmongers. Neither of them gives a damn about our Constitution and wouldn't know Freedom if it kicked them in the ding ding. Plus, both of them will spend us into oblivion. So pick your poison. You might as well vote for the guy with the wife with more fashion sense, because that's about how intelligent I see the Romney/Obama supporters.

Ironically, we do still call that our Golden Age, but you can't have everything.

If anything slams the US now, it's because you've been at peace for, what? A total of twenty years?

Personally, I don't care. If you feel like you have to bomb every country that looks at you funny, feel free to. I'm not slamming the US, at all. It's absolutely ridiculous to go with generalizations like that, making out the entirety of America for warmongering idiots, while half the people I know would like their country to just pull out of all foreign affairs.

I guess it's time to forgive the Germans, as well, as GermanGilbert makes some good points. It's just hard when every second German rides a bike they stole from us 70 years ago.

Rock can light a bowl and stfu also. (I LIKE bitchin' about Europeans, lol) Didn't we teach that fucker English, as I recall? lol)

Don't take me too seriously, I mess with all continents, lol

Zero2Cool (43m) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (3h) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (4h) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (21h) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (22h) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
