OMG you warned us! That means if you're right you must be some type of Nostradamus. And if you're wrong, you just look like a dumbass Packer hater rather than a Viking fan. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a Packer forum. On the last Packer forum I remember there being a Viking fan who posted regularly, but not with such negativity, in fact he was pretty insightful in his posts. You, on the other hand, are just an annoying and arrogant "fan" who is getting a rise out of a rival team having a rough season and his team actually having a shot to win the NFC North for once. It's the NFL, its a game of parody, everyone has to win sometimes... just look at the Cardinals.

In the Vikings' defense, they've been to as many Superbowls as the Packers have in that period. They've also had more dominant regular seasons than the Packers have.

After all, they're the only team to go 15-1 in the regular season and lose in the NFC Championship.

My God, every thread I read on this site reminds me so much of the hopeless optimism and hubris of the 70's and 80's! Seriously, I'm sh itting myself laughing here reading all of these comments! "Just wait until next year" "The coach and GM are doing a good job; they just need time" etc. ad nauseum. You people are priceless! And obviously too young to know that this situation occurred here before. I sat through 20+ years of other Mike McCarthy's and Ted Thompson's a long time ago, and it took two guys, Reggie White and Favre to come here and bail this outfit out of those 20 years of failure, when we had no right to expect it.

A little prognostication here: Reggie White and Brett Favre, much like Jesus Christ and John the Baptist, aren't likely to reappear anytime soon.

But keep up the optimism; it keeps me smiling!

How are you sure that this is going to happen again? Rodgers is way better than any of the QBs we had at that time and in this day and age, none of the teams seem to be tied to a coach and GM when it's going bad.

Also, we're still a prestigious team at this moment, Ted Thompson can strike quite easily now. Go into FA, pick up a player (Stop drafting 20 guys per draft). I see them getting better pretty soon, although that might look like foolish optimism to you.

Lets see..............Favre and White gained us how many Super Bowl wins? Yup......ONE. Compairing them to Jesus and John the Baptist is pretty lame.
They were good football players, but not the best there ever was, and CERTAINLY not perfect.
I think your line of thinking is wrong. I think we will be a great TEAM next year and beyond. We have been close in almost all games this year, and a bounce here or there and we could be on top of the division.
I didn't think we'd win the SB this year anyway. But i have HIGH expectations for next season.
You automatically write the team off for the future. Thats ok......you can do that if thats what makes you happy.
I prefer to "keep the faith".
I was around for the lousy 70's and 80's, and i don't see that kind of mentality from the guys running the show now.

Kampman has a good quote...

"...That's why you stop. You stop trying to find answers. You rely on fundamentals and your job... It is human nature when you hit adversity to keep looking for answers and try to find the magic solution. When you really look at it sometimes it is not a magic solution. It is just doing it better"

NFL is an up and down league. The parity is in tact and that is what makes the sport so popular. I really don't see how people can look at this team, read their interviews and watch them and think the sky is falling. Look at so many struggling teams from last year getting wins this season. Look at the Panthers. I really feel like we got the bug they caught last season and look at them now. Look at the make up of this team. Things can turn around real fast. Disappointments happen... just imagine being a Charger and Jaguar fan right now too; Both of those teams went to the playoffs as well. I will give the coaches and the GM a bit more slack before I accuse them of trying to drag the Packer organization into the sewer.

Maybe the players should just blame Brett Favre!
An unnamed Packer player:
"He's the reason we lost so many games this year! It's NOT because our defense is like a sieve! It's NOT because our kick coverage units give up 50 yard returns all the time! It's ALL because of BRETT FAVRE!!! BLAME HIM!!!!"

Zero2Cool (18h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (22h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (22h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (23h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (23h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (23h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (23h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (23h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (23h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (23h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (23h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (23h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (23h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (23h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (23h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
