I'm not sure, but wasn't it The owners that locked out The officials? really doesn't matter, point I was trying to make, had nothing to do with why they were not there, just the fact that without them the games pretty much sucked.

The Packers got screwed. But it was a gang rape made up of the owners AND the guys everyone (else) is cheering.

For a couple weeks things will be great. By the end of the year, though, I predict that the regular officials will be no better -- and probably worse -- than they were before the lockout.

They're going to feel their power now. And when you concentrate power, the long term effect is, inevitably, a reduction in quality and the triumph of mediocrity.

The "Return" will be another illustration of "be careful what you wish for" before all is said and done. Unfortunately.

Oh, and the main reason the Packer games sucked wasn't the officials. The main reason the games sucked is that the Packers played far too much mediocre football.

IMO

This also means the return of the favortism for guys like Brady,Manning and other big name players that the replacement refs didn't care about.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Given the alternative of replacement refs......I'll take the crew we get and give them a standing ovation when they take the field.

Nope, I am happy to have the real crews back. They are not perfect. They make mistakes. They are inconsistent. They are, however, not totally incompetent, which is what we have been treated to this season with the replacements.

At least we know what to expect.

I was hoping for Ed "The Guns" Hochuli.
