Jaguars sign cornerback off Packers' practice squad
The Jacksonville Jaguars, perhaps seeking a little inside information before Sunday's game against Green Bay, signed rookie cornerback Kennard Cox off the Packers' practice squad on Monday.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Cox, 23, was signed by the Packers on Oct. 27. He was Buffalo's seventh-round draft pick this year, but was waived at the end of training camp. He'll wear No. 26 for the Jaguars.
Jacksonville needed another player after putting defensive back Chad Nkang on injured reserve. He injured a shoulder in Sundays loss to the Chicago Bears.
The Packers have only five players left on the practice squad. They've signed three players -- LB Spencer Havner, DT Alfred Malone and CB Joe Porter -- from it in the last nine days.
