How often is he going to be facing a #1 or #2 cornerback on the Packers? I think those are reserved for Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings. 🙂

He has faced some #6 and lower DB's. The tighter coverage could be from those DB's or a #3 or anyone. It could even come from a #2 S not a CB.

Thinking Borel might be traded for a 7th round pick. Also possible Gurley might be able to get some work in at TE in a pinch with his added weight if need be - though I haven't heard anything on this, just a fan's perspective. I like the idea of keeping more defenders, 7 on the DL to allow for a good rotation (knowing how quickly we can score), and 5 Safeties, thinking McMillan might be able to take some reps at CB in a pinch with his coverage abilities.

Coleman may not stick, but worth a try. Sorry to lose DJ Williams, Saine, Levine, but none of these guys forced their way into gaining a roster position. Levine did a nice job, but I think Richardson has more potential and is worth keeping on the roster, as I doubt he'd stick on the PS.

Keeping 7 WRs will allow for us to possibly make a trade before deadline (week 6, 10/16/12) to shore up another position if need be.

They might IR DJ Williams.

I could see thim IRing Starks in order to keep Saine.

So, IR one injured person in favor of another injured person? I don't think either James Starks nor Brandon Saine have shown they could stay healthy. I could be wrong here.

IMO it'd be better if you cut (or traded) a WR and kept TE Williams. You say Williams hasn't forced his way onto this roster but he's shown more than Gurley and Boykins combined. (Boykins getting a lot of hype for beating a CB that's not gonna be playing in the NFL after the preseason)

Also the Dolphins GM traded their best WR and CB away for a 2nd and two 3rd as they're clearly rebuilding and getting rid of everyone whom is questionable off the field... Philban might be interested in one of his former WRs.... if the GM is willing to listen... their GM has the final say.

And Zombo should be on the PUP list.

beast, I think I erred on my comments regarding DJ Williams. I just haven't seen him produce on the field since his selection like I thought he might. Sounds from some recent articles I've read he's had a good camp, but injured.

Yeah I surprised by one article that said he might of had the best camp of anyone as far as improvement. That one surprised me.

But Williams is a TE/WR tweener (with out the speed, but he has the quickness) that can also play some FB and it's been reported the TEs have been helping out at FB some with Kuhn injured. And honestly I bit disappointed, I thought TE Taylor would come on more as well... though in OTAs it was said Taylor was becoming one of Rodgers favorite targets and he hasn't been working with Rodgers much in training camp ... though when he did a little bit for one game seems like Rodgers was more than willing to dump it off to Taylor and target him and trust him when they blitzed.

Jones' leaving is a real testament to Boykin's development. I'm really looking forward to seeing him at the #3 WR slot. I believe he will be overall, more productive than the very productive and reliable Jones.
