Here's my final roster prediction 2 weeks into the preseason.

NOTES
The signing of Cedric Benson really tosses things up on the offensive side of the ball. I would like to see 4 rbs and 6 wide receivers. If we keep only 5 wideouts then I think the extra spot on offense goes to G Ray Dominguez. Dline is a tough spot. I'm not sure whether or not to include Mike Neal and Anthony Hargrove since they're suspended and dont count towards the final 53 (this one is without them included). Erik Walden is also suspended for one game but since he has had such a great training camp, I see him making the final 53. I have 10 linebackers but that might be too many. Lattimore, Jones, and Francois can play both positions, which is why I think they stay. I would cut Terrell Manning, but draft picks dont get cut very often. If only 9 are kept, then I would add another d linemen. Players that may end up on PUP include Starks and House. There's alot of variables, yet but this is the best I can do.

I think this one looks about like mine would. Other than I'd probably cut another LB (Walden, Jones or Lattimore) for another DB (mostly likely CB Ross but maybe another Safety). Coaches seemed to be talking about playing more dime defense which makes me think less than 10 LBers which they had last year and maybe more than 10 DBs they had last year.

Also not sure about Gurley or Borel yet... they have the potential to be kept but hasn't shown it in preseason games yet, thought I've heard they've been banged up. The other WRs I don't think are ready yet. Also I don't know if it's likely but I heard the Packers might be trying to keep Bishop on the roster. If it's a free spot I would be looking at Gurly, Borel, OL, DL or maybe a Safety if the first spot I talked about above goes to Ross because Woodson is more CB to me. Trying to get the OL guys and S to the PS...

And probably try to keep Zombo on the IR. I thought he looked very good as a rookie. Now only if he could get and stay healthy. I think a healthy Zombo would be in the top 3 OLB we have right now.

I must be out of it because where is scott wells; I assume he got traded? ... damn ... so whose our center now? DL - we still have green? liked him; is he not performing? he was a really big dude.

geez guess I should of followed the offseason more.

(so ya I looked it up and cant figure out where howard green is or went too) - oh and we finaly getting rid of harrell? or did we last year lol (we sure paid him alot of money thou) - thats justin not the qb

Howard Green under performed last year so he was not offered a contract this year. I think he ate himself out of the league. While other Linemen both O and D busted their buts in the weight room during the lockout he mowed his yard for exercise. I think it ticked off the front office but they couldn't call him and tell him to do more.

RB Alex green is on the team and hopefully will contribute this year. He was injured last year.

released Justin H last year.

I think Boykin is PS at best, at the moment for the Packers. He made some plays against a back-up CB who was playing very loose to make sure not to get burned over the top. It was a good route and he didn't drop it them but I don't see it as special, just no mistakes. I'd like to see more upside/potential.

That said all he can do is catch the ball with they throw it his way. It is not his fault who the defense is.
