What in gods name happened today on third down, on both sides of the ball. Offense went like 1/10 and the defense gave up so many 3rd and a million miles to go.

That's funny. Dark, but funny. The offense has been good on third downs for most of the season. The defense, on the other hand, has been bad all year. That's what a lack of pass rush will do for you. Opposing QB's will even take a step or two to the left, knowing that Kampman is the only legitimate pass rusher. Maybe they should start putting Kampman on the other side so he can rush the QB from the blind side. Mix things up a little. Well, I guess it's too late for that now anyway.

I counted a 5 count at least 7 times yesterday.. give any NFL caliber QB a 5 count to progress through the reads and deliver the ball.. you are going to get beat.. I know there was at least one time that 5 count was with a blitz... pathetic.

What I wouldn't have done to see one Dlineman not named Kampman either pull off a decent swim move or rip yesterday.. that was my focus yesterday.. Linebackers and Dline.. my wife says I am getting too wrapped up again in football.. but dang I wanted to see it and study it.. it was sad...

Oline did a better job than I expected.. Clifton and Colledge has a couple of errors.. Colledge can't pick up a stunt to save his ass.. and he got schooled twice in run blocking (DT ripped under him and was by him before he could turn around.). Wells doesn't get any push if engaged immediately, but get him off the block, he did pretty good. I would grade Spitz out the best overall.. Moll did fine for the task at hand.. until late that is.. but great players make players.. Williams is a beast.
