Man, go to the site and it's under construction. Sounds like the federal highway department in the summer. Anyway, I'm still around, (unfortunately, as my wife says) but have been pretty busy with Bicycle Safety workshops. Our grant runs out at the end of August so you know how that goes with federal grants.....use it or lose it.

Somehow I must have raised my hand at a meeting I didn't know I attended and wound up being a University Supervisor for student teachers this fall. I'm under contract with Montana State University-Northern, in Havre Montana, to supervise 3 student teachers who have been placed in the Missoula area. At least I get paid for it and a travel stipend. It should be fun and I'm looking forward to it.

I will be traveling to Milwaukee on August 12th to visit my mother one more time. Her health has slipped considerably in the past 2 months (at 94 whose health wouldn't?) and my brother who lives in Milwaukee said if I can get back and see her alive I better hustle. I will be in Milwaukee from late August 13th until noon August 16th. Not a long visit, but my mother doesn't know or recognize any of us anymore. She'll probably think I'm Bill Clinton....she hated that man for whatever reason she dreamed up.......and throw a bed pan at me. She is in St. John's on the Lake and I'm sure I will get an earful from the staff about her. Ha...I'm going to wear my old catchers protection equipment from my Legion Baseball days. Old Cudworth Post Legion team, 1958-61.

Anyway, I'm trying to catch up on all the forum topics. Seems that the longer you're gone the more nothing changes. Wade's still Wade; DakotaT is still DakotaT; and Vikesrule is still annoying! LOL

Sorry about your mother, Bob. My mother is only in her mid 60's and I'm a terrible son who very seldom calls her because she insists on talking jibberish, nonstop. You should stop on your way through Bismarck with some more of those awesome preserves, and we can do a barter. Have a nice trip.

Sorry to hear about your Mother. My mother at, 78, is fairly healthy but we can see her mentally slipping away. My brother is a doctor and he says he is really surprised by how quick she is progressing. It will be 5 years this month that Dad passed away. That was really tough but it is going to be so much more difficult when Mom goes.

All the best to you and your family during this time.

BTW hope you don't get stuck in a snow bank while you are going to or coming back from school. I hear winter can be a real bear in MT in the winter. I figure you have about 3 weeks until it gets her.

The old site platform was restrictive, but also had a plethora of features that would never be used, yet wasted server resources. The Home and About pages are under development. The lack of filling those pages with something, you can blame my job. Suddenly they decided to make me earn my money, and then some.

DakotaT....I'd love to stop, but unless Amtrak changes it's route, the closest I'll get is "WhyNot-Minot." I don't fly
and even a shitload of happy pills wouldn't get me on a plane. Besides from Missoula to Milwaukee is 2 1/2 times the price of a train ticket and two layovers....Salt Lake City and Omaha. I could go over to Spokane WA and fly at a much cheaper price, but still two layovers and hey.......it's still a plane.

i am also sorry to hear about your mom. it's never easy, no matter their age. my mom is 76 & recently had a bit of a scare with a kidney function test. turns out it's just from 'old age' & appears to be nothing to worry about. other than that, she takes no pills for anything. i'm very thankful for this but i know when she does start to go downhill, it'll be very hard to watch. you hang in there & you will, as always, be in my nightly prayers.

Bob.....i'm sorry to hear about your Mom.
No matter the age, it's never easy.
I wish i had more comforting words to say, but i know that nothing makes it easier.....except to know you have people that care about you and have been there also.

Zero2Cool (6h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (9h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (9h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (10h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (10h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (11h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (11h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (11h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (11h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (11h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (11h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (11h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
    Zero2Cool (11h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (11h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (11h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (11h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (13h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (13h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (13h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
    Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
    Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
    Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
    wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
    Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
