Training Camp around the corner, I bet we'll see some updated roster predictions, lol.

1) Anybody can get 40 of the 53 right at this time of year and claim success.

2) Every year 1 or 2 undrafted free agents makes the roster. No one knows who it will be yet.

3) Every year draft picks that on paper are good prospects don't make it as a Packer.

4) Every year there is position that is overloaded and a position kept thin.

I'll have to see some of these new guys in action before I start guessing on those last dozen roster spots.

They might even have to keep all three QBs.

My 40 (except for #1, NOT listed in order of importance).

1. Aaron Rodgers.
2. James Starks
3. John Kuhn.
4. Alex Green.
5. Greg Jennings
6. Jordy Nelson
7. Randall Cobb
8. Jermichael Finley
9. D.J. Williams
10. Marshall Newhouse
11. T.J. Lang
12. Jeff Saturday
13. Josh Sitton
14.Bryan Bulaga
15. Jerel Worthy
16. B.J. Raji
17. Ryan Pickett
18. Mike Daniels
19. Clay Matthews
20. Nick Perry
21. Desmond Bishop
22. A.J. Hawk
23. D.J. Smith
24. Tramon Williams
25. Charles Woodson
26 Sam Shields
27. Casey Hayward
28. Davon House
29. Morgan Burnett
30. Jerron McMillian
31. Mason Crosby
32. Tim Masthay
33. Brett Goode
34. Jarrett Bush
35. James Jones.
36. Donald Driver
37. Terrell Manning
38. M D Jennings
39. Derek Sherrod
40. Anthony Hargrove

My most likely "shock" cut: Desmond Bishop.

(Note: I've ignored suspensions/PUP possibilities here. This is why Hargrove is not the one, even though I expect him to be suspended and therefore not available game one.)

2. Yes yes yes of course 1 UDF or 2 or maybe even 3 will make the squad. Factoring in injuries and suspensions this is probable. On your list you have the option of telling us who you think they will be if you so desire. or you can list the PUP and suspended players that will ultimately make the team when they are able. It is your list.
3. True so don't put them on your list. Take a WAG or make the mistake that others will do and include them on your roster.
4. Tis true. What position do you think Uncle Teddy will overload this year?
5. As Zero said, don't take this so seriously. No one is going to die if you get your list wrong. We have nothing much going on so join in the fun. (My list is at my office. I made up a list 2-3 weeks ago. I will post here after I have a chance to pick it up later today. Without looking at it I can tell you I have already accounted for some of these very issues.)

The point to the list is not saying that Aaron Rodgers will make the squad or that the 10th WR on the depth chart will be cut. The point is to say the UDF that was on my list made the team or I left that 4th round draft pick that everyone else thought would make the team off my roster and he was cut or ended up on the PS. After all is said and done no one cares and nothing will change.

Shock cut will be Woodson. Using the DakotaT (why is your 2nd "t" now small? Did something shrink?) of reasoning, cut or trade players one year before their usefulness is gone. He is old. He is getting slow. He costs too much money. His contract is: 2012: $6.5 million (+ $4 million roster bonus due in April + $1 million in per-game roster bonuses), 2013-2014: $6.5 million, 2015: Free Agent per Rotoworld.

They already paid him the $4 mil so I guess I will have to come up with another "shock cut". Oh well I get DT isn't always right. :-"
