Happy birthday, Alan!

Er...was it "cheese"cake? [grin1]

You're a better man than I -- I'd be not quite a year younger than you, but I refuse to acknowledge when my birthday occurs....so I'm still 35. [grin1]
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

How about a slice of cheesecake for the Cheesemeister.
I am a woman and I love football.

Thank you all!
I never thought i'd see the 'ripe old age" of 55. But here i am, still "cheesing" along.
The Cheesey is a little moldy, but still good!
I still wish i could come to this site more often, like i used to. But i come here whenever i can.
Sat up late last night and watched a couple movies i took out from the library. The one called "Larry Crowne" starred Tom Hanks (who has the same birthday as me, but is one year older) and it was a really good movie.
Now i'm going to take out a few more to watch this week.
The nice thing about the library is, the movies are free, so if you get a "stinker", at least it doesn't cost you anything. (I've picked more then my fare share of those!)[grin1]

Larry Crowne is a good movie. It deals with starting over. The Tom Petty tunes were a nice touch.

As for your age Alan - there's no reason modern medicine can't keep you alive another 30 years.

That's the sad part of our medical care, you only get it, if you can afford it.
I'm only taking a little each day of what i need, to try to stretch it out. So my blood sugar and blood pressure are all screwed up.
I spent the whole day in bed, and finally felt good enough to come out. So i'm taking my walk, and returning a movie to the library.
Gonna be HOT again here for at least the next week. I was hoping it would stay cooler for awhile.
And thank you again to all that posted in this thread.
It's nice to know i stll have my Packer "family" out there!

Actually, i still don't want the government running health care. As i think i said in another thread, in Canada it's considered "A" treatment if you need emergency open heart surgery, and they "manage" to get you in within 26 weeks! Had i have had to wait for that when i needed my surgery, i doubt very much if i still would have been here. Even my cardiologist and my heart surgeon were overheard by my wife arguing about whether they should take me into the operating room immediatly, or wait the 3 days it would take to get the blood thinner out of my system so i wouldn't bleed to death on the table. The surgeon won, and they kept me in the hospital from friday till monday morning, when they chopped me open.
What REALLY sucked was that i had intended to go to see the 1966 Batmobile and it's creator George Barris that Sunday at the Milwaukee auto show, and my doc wouldn't let me leave the hospital, as he said I could "litterally drop over from a massive heart attack at any moment". So i missed out on that.
Priorities, hey???LOL![grin1]

Our health care needs an overhaul, so that us "below average" people can afford it. But let's face it, the government is like "King Midas", except that everything they touch turns to SH*T!!!
