Don't defend this clown anymore. He's a perfect example of a guy that tagged along another D-coordinator, then all of a sudden it's his show. The GBP can afford and do much better that Mr. Vanilla.

Dakota, I got a ton of respect for you and your football acumen but I have to disagree with this post.

1) I'm not going to defend Sanders. I think it's clear he is going to be fired, and I'm fine with that. The problem I have is that people are over looking is our glaring lack of quality on Defense, especially the D-line. Sanders may well be a part of the problem, but I think a bigger part is our glaring lack of talent up front. Firing the DC alone, and not calling for addition of more able talent, is not going to fix the problem.

2) I think it's unfair to call Bob Sanders "Mr. Vanilla" or a DC with a Vanilla scheme.

The man has been blitzing more this season than he ever did in his two prior years, but more importantly this is a man who's installed a 2-4 package, and (as we saw today) a 3-1-7 package in our D schemes. Heck Sanders last year took Aaron Kampman out as a DE, and put him in as a hybrid LB for the purpose of pressing TEs that were having huge games vs us. McCarthy even acknowledged this off-season that Sanders has put in a 3-4 package in our D scheme.

Sanders has tried for the life of him to be creative, to bring in some unique looks to get some results. He has failed to get results, but not because of a simple lack of creativity, or being "vanilla."

Yea let's start from the top because were ignorant and don't get the point of what really happened this off season and because Ted didn't predict injuries to specific players.

Let's just fire them all! Yea that's intelligent thinking right there!

Love how none of the ass clowns have a replacement for any position or staff, yet they want heads to roll.

Pathetic, just like how the TEAM is playing from TOP to BOTTOM.

Sanders out
Moss in

Z, I have a bit of a hesitancy giving the job to Moss.

Mainly because our LBs have been very sub-par this year. Very.

Not just that, but our LBs struggle to get home on blitzes for the most part. I think that has to fall on the LB coach, who should be responsible for teaching the LBs effective blitzing techniques / methods.

Frankly, I'm not sure there is enough proof that Moss is much better than Sanders.

I'd desperately want a veteran DC who has a proven track record. I SO miss Jim Bates right now.

Firing Mike McCarthy or Sanders isn't going to make up for the lack of talent in the box.. we don't have anyone outside of Kampman that can beat his man with any consistency.

Granted a more creative stunting group would help, but we just can't win battles...

THE VOICE OF REASON.

One thing though 93z, I think Bishop was way way out of his element in this game. He should be at MLB, not WLB, because he is terrible against the pass.

Hell of a hitter, and has some talent on blitzes. But the way he was biting on stop and go routes on TEs, and hesitating a moment on TE running patterns... made me believe he was badly out of his element.

That has to fall on the coaches, not putting the player in a position that suits him more.

I agree, every since Barnett went down, I have said that we needed to keep Bishop in the middle. I think it should be Hawk, Bishop, Poppinga/Chillar

1)one, who, through the fault of his parents conception, is a skid mark in society's collective underwear.
2) One whose stupidity and/or ineptitude exceeds the descriptive potential of both the terms ass and clown in isolation, and in so doing demands to be referred to as the conjugate of the two. 2. A male who engages in homosexual behaviors. See butthole surfer
3)A person who by ignorance or stupidity takes up unnecessary amounts of your time.

I see the stupid brigade has arrived.

Lets fire MM, TT, and get rid of that Mark Murphy too. And let's demolish Lambeau while we're at it. We can't win there anyway lately!

Morons.
