Hey, people, you need to start posting. How the heck am I going to babble on and pontificate if you don't give me anything to babble and pontificate upon?

Gee. Just because it's off-season you don't talk?

Tell us what's happening! Who's pissing you off? What's cool in your life? How are the bees? The burgers at your McDonald's? Who's taking a vacation where? Who -- besides Rourke, of course -- is getting too much? Who's getting too little? Who's got the best dirt? What's your opinion of Donald Driver's dance partner? Any interesting junk mail? Any new Viking jokes?

Okay, I admit the last one is hard -- even Bob Hope's joke writers ran out of material eventually, and they had better subject matter to work with than hapless Minnesotans.

I mean, come on now, surely you can't all be hanging out at courthouses with Mike Florio counting NFL concussion lawsuit plaintiffs?

And if you don't start posting, I'm going to send Thuji to drag you over here and give you a choice between being chew toys and helping me with all the little round-the-Shilts-pigsty-house-white-trash-shack-fix-it jobs I'm too lazy to do myself and too cheap to pay anyone else for.

Or else I'll have to resort to strange fonts and equations and boring diatribes again.

So start talking!

I still enjoy the game itself, just turned off by the squabbling of Billionaires and Millionaires.

The labor games almost have taken over the league.. how they practice, how they play.. sprinkle in the leagues insistence on making the game a offensive freak show via imbalance in the rules.. well after 40 years it is losing its luster upon me.

One could also still question the NFL in terms of its lack of transparency of dealing with Spygate and now Bountygate. Integrity of the league as a whole has some answering to do.

Like the NBA.. I would almost rather watch the college game over the pro version of the game. Only thing the NCAA hasn't figured out how to crown a champion upon the field yet in the NCAA within Div I ball. The NCAA's blood lust for money is just about as appalling as the NFL and worse yet they are allowing it to affect the competition directly.

Don't be a sheep and follow. Be a leader. Our posts or the lack thereof should have no bearing on your ability to babble/pontificate.

I talk all the time. Do you listen?

Happenings- My mother in law is in rehab and doing quite well. Hope to have her home soon. Son grad from U of IL-Chicago in Dec. My daughter from North Central a few weeks ago. She will get her 2nd undergrad degree in Nov.
Pissing- I really try not to allow anyone to piss me off. As of this moment it is successful Check back in an hour.
Coolness- Right now the temp is cool. After the high 90's over the weekend it is rather enjoyable.
bees- I have not seen very many this Spring. It is sad to think they are probably dying off in my area. I wish we had wranglers that cared like Dakota around here.
McD- Like Shawn I can not remember that last Mickey D burger I ate. I do scarf a Culver's about once a month or so.
Vacation- My wife and I will head out to Whistler, BC for a few days later this summer. Plan to go to Alabama for our niece's wedding. She will be the first of the grand-kids to do so. She is the 4th oldest. My kids are the eldest two. Her older sister was so boy crazy when she was in Jr Hi & HS. I was certain she would be the first.
getting- all is fine.
dirt- I have a mulch pile as well. It doesn't seem to be doing as well as Shawn's I will have to work on it.
DD- I did not watch any of the show nor do I care to. I figure she has to have some talent. They would not have won if she wasn't an exceptional dancer.
junk mail- I try to not waste my time reading it. Just shredded one of those credit card "use our checks" promos. Didn't even read what they had to say.
vikings- after 50 + years there are not too many new jokes. Almost all of it has been said before and culminates in their goose egg trophy. But just for you I dug one up - Q. What do you call a Viking with a Super Bowl ring? A. A thief!

BTW- I didn't see you respond to any of these questions. if you want others to comment then do so yourself.
Zero- How can you applaud his post and then not respond yourself.

Final comment- My mother in law was in rehab for her knee replacement surgery. Shame on any of you who thought she was in drug/alcohol rehab. 😳

After reading some of my comments from a couple years ago, I realized maybe I'm the problem as to why others don't post, or post more often. Less is more in this case.

i've been busy with the boys, the end of the school year, getting the pool up & running, helping the hubby build a HUGE deck around our pool, planning our vacation, doing the cooking, the cleaning, & everything else!!

oh - we're going to mackinaw city mi for vacation this year. anybody have places we MUST see? clearly we'll head to mackinac island for a day - been there when i was 11 or 12 i think. but other than that, any ideas? we might go to the soo locks too. we'll be camping right on the lake in the middle of june for a week. looking up avg temps it should be perfect weather - we'll see. staying there for a week & then meandering back down thru michigan to see what we can see for another week or so.

This thread is gay!

Mia's good, kids are out of school and going to summers school and activity center so they don't drive Mrs. Dakota nuts all summer.

I'm busy as hell right now and it's probably better my grouchy ass isn't posting anymore.

I have blind faith that all of you are good, but I fear Cheesey and Porforis will be voting for Satan later this month.

Peace and good will. And Zero, your menstrual ass has nothing to do with my posting frequency except when you put me in jail for a few days.

Mucky Tundra (41m) : Rude!
beast (1h) : Martha? 😋
Zero2Cool (5h) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (7h) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (9h) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
