This is wild I have never seen this happen before. A switch hitter facing a switch pitcher, yes thats correct a pitcher that can pitch with either arm. Check this out



Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I think this was mentioned in MLB not long ago when a pitcher kept trying to switch which messed up the DH selection, lol.

I heard about this when it happened back in 2008. I don't know if they made any adjustment in the rules but they said the batter had to declare which side he was going to bat from first.
The batter has to step into the box before the pitcher toes the rubber.


Umpires and both managers huddled and the umps decided the batter and pitcher can both change sides one time per at-bat, and that the batter must declare first.

The ruling favored the pitcher, since he gets to declare last.
