I don't think he was lying. It wasn't a need pick but rather the best pick available that happens to be the main need. That's mostly a matter of semantics, but I don't think the Packers had any other player ranked higher than Perry. The dude is an incredible athlete. Luckily for us the BPA is this case fit a need perfectly.
