Ok, just read that some couple just paid $100K at one of those celebrity golf auctions to spend the day with Tim Tebow. Obviously some rich people and their money deserve to be parted from each other. But ...

Suppose you're spending 100K to spend a day with whatever celebrity(ies) you want. Who do you spend it with? You can split the money on up to 10 people at 10K/apiece, but all have to be within the same 24 hour period.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I have enough hubris to think that I shouldn't have to spend $100K to spend time with anyone. If someone wants $100K to be with them then forget it.

Sandra Bullock.

Cost/benefit analysis. Through life's circumstances, I knew her mom and dad, her PA, have mutual friends, and just plain-flat-dig her.

Her mom (Helga) was an incredible opera singer- Known throughout the world, except here, as we are schwantz provincials. Her dad taught it at either Georgetown or GW, I forget... She comes from awesome stock. Nice, nice people surround her life, and all agree, she is the nicest of them. I like that.

My brother - in - law is in the movie business on the special effects side of it and he agrees with my choice. We already had this kind of talk.

On the subject of my brother-in-law...

My sister works for pana-flex (sp?) the industrial movie-business camera people. I was in D.C. many years ago watching my B>I>L help to make the flick "Mars Attacks". My sister told me that Demi Moore is a pure, passionate, lesbian. I've never heard that elsewhere, but that is what she told me, and she would know, in the sense that they are all like a big carnival gang travelling the planet together, albeit on a bigger budget.

(My sister would NEVER have her job if not for my brother in law)

I can not think of a single person I would want to pay $100,000 to spend the day with. Well no one who is living.

I guess for me it would also depend alot on what charity it was going to.

I like Dfoster's choice though. Sandra Bullock is not only very pretty, but i LOVE her sense of humor.
I'd LOVE to spend a day with her, and see if i could make her laugh!

I'd split my time.

I'd have breakfast with Ronald Coase.

Then the morning strolling the markets with Giada de Laurentiis (or if I have a time machine, Julia Child).

Then I'd have lunch and talk food with Guy Fieri at a really cool diner.

Then the afternoon talking with Ray Kurzweil or maybe Charles Stross (or if I could use that time machine, Thomas Merton and the apostle Paul).

Then cocktails with Peter Theil and Steve Wozniak. (If I'm allowed to use a time machine, it would be with Milton Friedman, John Maynard Keynes, and Friedrich Hayek.)

Finally, I'd spend four hours at an elegant five-star restaurant with Jessica Biel, ending perhaps with a snifter of Armagnac while watching the ocean, or with a long barefoot walk on the beach under the moon.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
