It was his funeral today, I was upset but I remembered all the lovely things he did in his life and I do miss him but he was such a lovely man.

I think that are the most important things you can hold on to. In some way, it also keeps him alive, if you know what I mean.

Be thankful you had him in your life. When you are up against a situation, ask "What would he do?" and try to do the same. Obviously this man was a great influence on you. He will live on through you as you honor his memory by also being a great man. He showed you by his actions what kind of a person he was.
Make it your goal that when it comes your time to leave this earth, that there are many left behind that feel about you as you feel about him.

I just read this thread.

I am sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one. As so many others have said I will be praying for you and your family.

I also just read this thread now, I am so sorry for your lose. Remember the good times. I have lost a few close people in my life and its never easy, my heart and prayers go out to you and your family through this difficult time.
