I don't mind this signing at all, if the price is acceptable. He did play OK when he was a Packer, as already said, he was more of a victim of the good DL at these days. However, we have to wait if he can translate his play to a 3-4 DE, which he never played before. He has to earn a roster spot, if he does, I'm fine with the signing.
As I didn't find any contract numbers by now, the only thing that scares me at the moment is, if he signed a contract of more than a million bucks a year. If he did, he's compensatory pick eligible. That means, if Pat Lee didn't sign a million contract per year, which is what I assume, this signing would cost the Packers one of the compensatory picks for Wells and Flynn (at this time in FA). Both will likely to be at least 4ths and that would really .... be not SO good 😉 At least that's my personal understanding of compensatory pick rules.
