Packers sign center Jeff Saturday

And now, former Colts C Jeff Saturday officially has agreed to a deal with the Green Bay Packers. Nice Packers pickup.

Thanks to Silentio for texting me the news. He mentioned that this move demonstrates a "win-now" mentality, which is nice. I'm not sure how much Saturday has left in the tank, but I do know that he'll make an immediate impact in the locker room and that he's a very cerebral center so blitz pickups and protection calls won't be an issue.

William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Definitely a good pickup for the next year or 2. I'm so glad we didn't miss out on this one. Too bad we didn't have Clifton, Wahle, Saturday, Sitton, and Tauscher in their primes all together.

Definitely a good pickup for the next year or 2. I'm so glad we didn't miss out on this one. Too bad we didn't have Clifton, Wahle, Saturday, Sitton, and Tauscher in their primes all together.

6 time Pro Bowler, 4 time All-Pro. Was Peyton Manning's Center for his entire career except his rookie season.

He's 36. Hope he has a few good years still left in him. As long as their legs hold up, OL can play awhile. (I'm no OL expert, I just read stats and that's what the numbers say).

So hopefully a great pickup. I'm convinced 🇹🇹 and 🇲🇲 have our 2 offseason priorities are protecting 🇦🇷 and replacing Cullen Jenkins (tied for importance). This shows protecting 🇦🇷 is in the works.

He's old as hell, but his value comes as a reliable(barely missed any games in his career - 6 games since he took over as the starter in his second season) veteran who can start while developing a younger player or serve as an experienced backup at worst. Good signing.
