Well, you can't just pull our best corner Tramon Williams out if he misses a tackle lol.

Nick collins rarely missed tackles.

If I'm one of four DB's on the Packers and I see Charles Woodson get benched for missing two tackles in a game. You bet your sweet ass I'm evaluating my tackling technique and going to focus on improving it, regardless of how well I tackle already.

So how does this work? What if the would be tackler was out of position and didn't make contact? That would mean no missed tackle, right? I saw a lot of the latter last year. I'd rather see someone miss a tackle than be completely out of position so he can't even make a play.

But yes, good to see šŸ‡²šŸ‡² say these things. Let's see if he follows through. He's been emphasizing availability and accountability for his entire head coaching career.

Watching the NFL Network I get to see the LeGarrette Blount TD a few times a day. It is a comdedy of errors in the tackling department.

I don't worry so much about the cb's tackling. Long as they can cover. And remember, Tramon was hurt last year.

When I think of tackling, I keep replaying that 66yd TD to Hakeem Nicks in the playoff game. The instant I seen him lead with his shoulder instead of wrapping up I was livid ... only to watch Nicks run half the field (exaggeration) nearly untouched to score. He could have wrapped up easily. He had good position.

Hard to blame Burnett for much of last year. Also Woodson is always coming off the edge into the backfield to get his hands on RB's or wide recievers in the open field... Same with Tramon but he's not nearly good at making tackles.

Either way corners have literally NO help when they are getting run at, where as a LB is typically making his tackles around the line of scrimmage or where the RB is among a crowd and has no where to turn.

Do the Packers have a choice but to tackle better? Basically can it get worse?

Today's NFL is pathetic as far as tackling fundamentals go.. and you can see it declining decade by decade.

Maybe with the NFL's assault on "big hits" and "head shots", just maybe the players development all the way down to Pop Warner will change and we may see the return of form tackling or at least some of the roots of a proper tackle.
