As we know, the New York Giants are the Super Bowl Champs, yadda yadda yadda. Ok, no one cares about the north eastern bandwagon teams, so let's get down to talking some Packers football. With the Giants being the Super Bowl Champs, they get the first game of the NFL season at home. Who's on their schedule?



Oh wait! The Packers are on there! As far as I see it... the most interesting match-up will be against the Pack. Not only that, but it'll be former Super Bowl Champion against the new one, just like last year.

Something maybe to get you excited! 🙂. Thoughts?

Not really. I just hope it's not a repeat of what's been happening when we play the Giants - we beat them in regular season, then lose to them in the Playoffs. [palm]

I read somewhere, probably PFT, that the first game is not likely to be a divisional game. That would leave Packers, Saints and Steelers. I think it'll be Packers because it pits the last two Super Bowl winners, just like the preceding year.

I also don't think that the NFL will have the Saints open against the Super Bowl champions two years in a row which leaves the Steelers and the Packers. I believe it will be the Packers because it will allow all sorts of media hype such as previous champion vs. current champion and playoff rematch.

because it is a home game for NYG I can see it happening. Although I would rather they travel to SF and open the season. 😛
