It is a meaningless game that the players don't care about. I don't see a way you can force a player to out on his jock and man up if he doesn't want to.
I don't know how many players were in their 5-6 PB. It seems like they get their free trip to Hawaii 2-3 times and then they have had enough.

True. How many pro bowls was Favre supposed to be in, where he didn't even go?

I just would have liked to see the guys not play at half speed. I guess an additional 25 grand doesn't mean anything to a guy that has more money then he knows what to do with.

A lot of these guys make anywhere from $150,000 to $750,000 per game. As far as they're concerned, at $25,000 they're basically giving their time away.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he is disappointed in the quality of last week’s Pro Bowl and changes must be considered, perhaps even dropping the game altogether.

Speaking on ESPN Radio, Goodell says this year’s Pro Bowl wasn’t “the kind of football we want to be demonstrating to our fans, and you heard it from the fans, the fans were actively booing in the stands.”

Goodell made his remarks on Sunday, hours before the start of the Super Bowl.

Goodell has spoken to the NFL Players Association about his disappointment, adding, “We are going to either have to improve the quality of what we are doing in the Pro Bowl or consider other changes, or even consider eliminating the game if that is the kind of quality of game we are going to provide.”

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the game was cancelled. I will say that the locals in Honolulu take pride in hosting the game more or less every year.

I've always enjoyed the Pro Bowl because it gave me more time to watch football. But if I'm with Wayne, if they are going to play like they did this year, then I won't mind a cancellation.

back in the 70-80's I use to watch it. Every year. I was disappointed that only a couple of Packers played. They were sure easy to spot. Those green helmets with the players wearing blue jerseys really stuck out.
It has been getting worse over the past few years and I just don't do much more than glance at the game a few times. This year went to a birthday dinner instead. It was more fun. Had a guy come up to me in the restaurant and tell me I was too loud then walk out. It was a very noisy restaurant in downtown Chicago and I tried to keep people at both ends of the table involved in the dinner.
