I agree, but I'd put Newhouse in as the incumbent at LT, and make Sherrod compete for the job when his leg is ready to go. Make him beat out the incumbent so he doesn't just have the job handed to him and learns to work his ass off. If he never beats out Newhouse, then good for Newhouse.

Bulaga should be better as a RT both because of his body type and his experience. Let him continue to develop there, and he could be one of the best RTs out there.

I see them drafting a C high this year. I don't know why, but I just get a bad feeling. Wells is 30, which is a magic age for Uncle Ted. Plus he's always been a bit undersized.

Hopefully they'll go OLB, DL at the top. You can get a good C in the upper mid rounds.

Wisconsin's Peter Konz is good enough to be a low 1st or high 2nd. After that is the 3rd or 4th round for tOSU Mike Brewster and Ben Jones from Georgia.

Wade- I appreciate the input. I know you are one of the o-line hounds (that's a compliment) in this forum and figured you'd take to a convo about the offensive line. Can I ask you what it is about Bulaga that you don't like at LT?

One thing that would shy me away from putting Bulaga to the left would be the chemistry that he and Sitton have and the dominance the right side of the line produces in the run game.

But mostly it isn't that I think Bulaga is a bad option at LT. I just think he's been getting a bit more good press than he has warranted. He's certainly more than serviceable as a tackle.

And certainly the combo of Wells, Sitton, and Bulaga is good for the run game. (And despite the greatness that is AR, I'm still a beat the crap out of them in the run game kinda guy.

I've read/heard that the current trend in the NFL at tackles is supposed to be getting more of a LT type guy at RT as well as at LT, because more teams are rushing guys at the RTs than in the past, like Clay Matthews for example. So RT isn't supposed to be as much of a road grader type position anymore, although they still have to be good run blockers.

Bulaga just seems like a natural for that description. As long as they can fill the LT position adequately, I'm guessing they'd want to keep Bulaga where he is. Then he gets to keep developing where he has been, with no potential musical chairs messes like we've had in the past.

The G position wouldn't need any mentioning if the Packers would not have mistakenly let Daryn Colledge go to the Cardinals.

I really don't know much about OL at all. I know the tell for if they are going to run or pass protect, that's about it. Watch the heals!! I do know, when a guy like Bryan Bulaga is constantly spinning 180's, that's not good.
