Green Bay Packers vice president of administration/general counsel Jason Wied has resigned.

Jason has been an integral part of the success the Packers organization has enjoyed over the past decade. He has served in key roles for the Packers on many projects, including the 2003 redevelopment of Lambeau Field and the current expansion to the stadium, as well as the development and construction of Ray Nitschke Field, the team’s training camp practice facility.

Jason established good relations with community leaders which were very beneficial to the organization in many ways, including in the planning for potential development of the area around the stadium. His work with the Packers Board of Directors and on NFL matters was invaluable as well.

This was a difficult decision but the right one for me. I’ve had some health issues, including sleep apnea and insomnia, for the last couple of years and have tried many treatments, herbal remedies, and medications. Recently I developed a dependency on one of the herbal remedies that had been suggested and my long-term health became a real concern.

With the support of my wife, family and the Packers, I entered a treatment center on Nov. 7. While there I realized that I needed to make some changes and some tough choices – and I feel that moving on from my employment with the Packers will allow me to make the changes I need in my life right now.

I consider myself fortunate to have worked here for 11 years. I’m very proud of what we accomplished and look forward to the continued success of the Packers on and off the field. As a fan and shareholder, I’ll continue to cheer the Packers on every Sunday with my family by my side.

This statement is best left unsaid.

The reason for any resignation need not be said.

If there wasn't a serious problem it would be a leave of absense.

The talk about continuing to cheer for them hints that he was forced out.

Lead is the second most effective foil lining. But it is also less durable and too heavy at a thickness that is useable.

Aluminum foil is a durable yet light metal that is easy to produce in a useable thickness and resists corrosion. Reynolds makes a heavy duty foil in a longer roll that has the ideal thickness to form a protective head covering that is not only attractive but effective at repelling the mind controlling radiations that are commonly use by our Government and its controlling coorperate conglomerate.

Some jokes write themselves.

Wied resigned because he has a problem with the herb.

Jason Wied is from Green Bay and would remain a Packer fan even though he no longer works for the Packers.

Remember medical records of patient are confidential and can only be open up to pub lic with the patient permission. This patient right privacy is protected by Federal law.

Therefore, Jason Wied might have wanted the public to know what a herbal remedy can do to you (addictive).Although the herbal remedy is legal and is used for treatment of sleep apnea/insomnia. but also can cause future serious medical problems to those who use it.

I'm an herbalist, and I'm not sure wtf he's talking about. Addicted to an herbal remedy? Then again, opium is an herb.

An opiate would be a disastrous remedy for sleep apnea, though.
