rest of the story

A new national survey released Wednesday has found what Green Bay Packers fans have been saying for years: The Pack is "America's Team."

A total of 22% said the Green Bay Packers, far outdistancing the second most favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, which got 11%.

After the Cowboys, 8% each named the Chicago Bears, the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A total of 7% said their favorite team was the New Orleans Saints, with 6% for the New England Patriots, 4% for the Washington Redskins and 2% for the New York Jets.

A total of 24% of those surveyed in the Public Policy Polling survey said their favorite NFL team was either some other team not in the question or they weren't sure.

The reason for the poll Montana Smart:

Jensen said a different poll conducted in Montana found that residents there ranked the Packers as their favorite team.

"We figured that if Montana likes the Packers, we should check around the country," Jensen said.

Democrat wussies.

Broken down by party, Democrats like the Packers better than the Cowboys, 44-26. And Republicans really like the Packers better: 60-29. Independents also like the Packers vs. the Cowboys: 44-30.

Don't mean to sound like a hipster, but the Cows can keep the America's Team label. That term is arrogant and causes just as much hate as it does love. I'd much rather be overlooked than hated.

(Btw, did I ever mention how much I hate the Cows?)

That quote by Ms. West is an entirely different context. We're talking about a football team, not female sexiness. Nobody ever hated a woman for not being sexy enough. However, I'd guess the majority of football fans hate at least one opposing team; many with a passion.

Being from Texas that term is so effing annoying! That's all I ever hear all day on Sunday when watching the games.

Although it will be cool to rub this in their face but... arguing (things like this always result in an argument being in Texas) with a Cowboys fan is like arguing with a 3 year old.

Democrats 44-26

Republicans 60-29

[sarcasm] All I see here is that 3% more fascist Republicans dislike the Packers. 😝

BTW I would not lend my name nor support to either party. They are both full of self serving, lying, cheating people that are in power to serve their own self interest more than that of their constituents.
