Francois is tall like Urlacher. He's gonna get those.

From what I'm seeing though, I really wouldn't be surprised to see Capers with a new package that has Bishop, Smith, and Hawk all on the field. Either that, or one of the backup ILBs should be given a chance to fight for the spot opposite Clay Matthews.

I think about what may come when the post-season starts, and I giggle about the Pack's opponents.

My only question, will McCarthy on offense or Capers on defense offer opposing teams more annoying new "saved in the playbook just for the playoffs" stuff?

They're going to go into the games breaking down film on how to stop the Packers do A, B, ..., N on offense, and then McCarthy will add O, P, Q, and R. And they'll be thinking, everyone moves the ball on this defense, all we have to do is give the DBs no opportunities to jump the ball and get turnovers...and then Capers will throw like 4 new different defensive looks at them in the first quarter.

They'll be so busy saying "WTF?", that when McCarthy and Capers go back to what they were doing all year, they'll fall into the same traps everyone else has.

Just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Aaron Rodgers: "Dominate on three. I, 2, 3, ...
Packer team: "DOMINATE!"

LOL.

Good lord. Based on some of the posts you would have thought I had said cut Hawk, start Francois.

So, it's now not permissible to think/say a player on the Packers can make a particular play better than another player on the Packers?

I'm not a Hawk basher. I think Hawk/Bishop make a pretty good ILB combination.

I just recognize Hawk's not THE top linebacker in the league, and that there are some things that other LBs do better than he does. And I just thought those two interceptions were plays that Hawk would not have made.

So it's looking like Pickett will be out this week with the concussion. That should mean Raji will pick up his snaps at nose guard which is where he played so well last year, especially down the stretch. What do you guys think, he starts blowing it up again?

I'm not sure if this was posted, but ESPN wrote up a little something (and video) about the Packers defensive numbers ... lying?

The winter weather will also start to be more of a factor in the rest of the games this season. Especially with the us knowing that the games will all be at home. This may help give the defense an edge.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
