The location of the ball is inconsequential. Aaron Rodgers has been throwing back should passes all year long. Everyone has been laughing or marveling that he has been getting away with it. If the defender had only turned around he could have intercepted the ball comments are made every week. sometimes 3-4 times in a game.
It is a gutsy pass that they pull off to perfection time and time again. This time the ball needed to be a few inches more to Finley's left. He would have been able to lean back toward the goal line and grab the ball. The ball could have also been a little higher to allow JerMike to out jump the defender. every single pass can't be perfect to within 2-3 inches.

Actually as I type this I think the defender took the ball off Finley's chest didn't he? That means he had the first, best chance to catch the ball he just didn't wrap it up when it got to him.

I say this because then you utilize Finley's height and jumping ability, which I believe is the purpose of Finley in that position.

I still think Finley could have done more, however, when you're falling backwards it can be challenging to not brace your fall and knock a ball out of a guys hands, who had some illegal contact to begin with.

On another note I was real happy with what I saw out of Smith and Francois. Smith is a playmaker and seems to always be around the ball carrier.

Platooning on the offensive line seemed to lead to 🇦🇷 getting hit a bit too often. 👎 on that.

You HAVE to have an awareness of where the other guy is. It's like Finley didn't even know he was there. WTH?

Now I don't normally do this, but agree with Zero on this one. That ball was low. It should have been placed a foot higher so Finley could have caught it above his head. Also, there should have been a pass interference flag thrown.

Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
