Hoping my July 28th prediction that the Packers would lose against the Lions on Thanksgiving comes up wrong.

Seeing that we are 7-0 going into bye week, I'd have to say that 16-0, which is what I pick EVERY year is not far fetched anymore!

When the thread began it was way too early to know what GB had or the other teams for that matter other than to look at the results from last year and divine what they would look like this year. I fully intended to come back and make a more insightful prediction but I got caught up in the end of the season baseball run/playoff/WORLD SERIES action and forgot. Well I was busy at work too but that don't count.

I was concerned with some of the away games. Atl/SD,Detroit being the bigger concerns. I was not convinced NYG would be a problem. Da Bears always seem to bite us in the butt at the worst times but I thought GB would handle them this season in Chicago.

The home games I thought could be a problem with would be NO and Tampa first. Watching out for the Bears again. I just didn't know enough about Oakland but with so many picking the rams to win the NFC West I figured they could be a problem.

After I sorted through all of these I most likely would have said 13-3 but would have thought 12-4 to be a safer bet. There are so few teams that win 13 times a year. There always seems to be the loss to a team that you out played in every category except the final score. There is the team the jumps up and plays 3 levels above where they should for that 1 week.

GB seems to have withstood those kinds of losses this year. There are still 4 more to play and this week against the Raiders is their "toughest opponent on the rest of their schedule". :-"

Packers' perfection not quite registering: What's most striking about Green Bay's perfect season, and its 18-game winning streak that dates to Week 16 of last season, is the lack of attention it is getting. In a day and age when major sports stories get more attention than ever, the Packers are proving how to remain under the radar, if such a thing were possible.

Part of it might be the fact that the Packers don't play in a major media market, though that's odd because Green Bay is at the center of football history. A bigger part might be the personalities of the franchise's faces, Packers coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Each is steady, detailed, organized, consistent and never seems to ride any type of emotional wave. They go out and do their job, every week. They have done it from last season through this season, at the highest level possible. And yet for as perfect as the Packers have been, there still is more conversation about teams such as the Eagles and quarterbacks such as Tim Tebow. Soon enough it should -- and will -- change.

Another correct week for me, but for the year I predicted 12-4, I must bow to wpr and obi1, the only 2 left who can still be 100% correct on their pre-season predictions. =d> =d>

I was a little worried that Kansas City might be a "trap" game for The Packers, but after watching them yesterday against The Jets and hearing they fired their head coach today, as long as The Packers stay focused they should have no problem in KC.

One more win and the road to The Superbowl will go through Lambeau.

Zero2Cool (28-May) : Love says knee affected him all season, groin injury didn't help matters.
Zero2Cool (28-May) : I used to enjoy him on FOX Pregame. Now it's like a frat party of former Patriots.
Zero2Cool (28-May) : LaFleur on Watson: “Christian is doing outstanding. I would say he’s ahead of schedule.”
Martha Careful (28-May) : Bradshaw is a dumb ass cracker. I am so tired of his "aw shucks" diatribe. He should shrivel up and go away.
buckeyepackfan (28-May) : He wad all butt hurt because Aaron duped the media saying he was immunized.
