only 2 games.

The NFL has suspended Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh two games without pay for his actions against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving. Suh slammed Evan Dietrich-Smith's head against the turf multiple times and then stomped on his arm.

Yeah, i saw that on "Yahoo".
The guy is a punk/thug. He doesn't belong on a football field. He has NO respect for the other players he plays against, and should be kicked out of football if he doesn't change his ways.

I wouldn't feel this way if he would have at LEAST "man-upp'ed" and admitted he lost his cool and acted like an idiot. But his explanation and "I did NOTHING wrong" attitude shows he has no plans to change his ways. And nothing will change, until he injures someone seriously enough to get kicked out of football altogether.

And the Lions coach didn't seem to mind that his "star" player acted like a jerk. If there are no consequences SERIOUS enough to stop his style of play, why should he change? I don't think 2 games will stop him. JMO of course.

To me, I didn't think his crap was that big of a deal.

I'm glad he did it, though. It looked pricey at the time, and that has sure proven to be the case.

He's over-hyped, anyway... by a little.

Fuck him. Let's see what media attention - if any - he'd get in our 3-4, for example.

I didn't mind the pushing the helmet into the turf bit ... I like that kind of toughness, but kicking someone in any fashion ...WHILE THEY ARE ON THEIR BACK is downright pathetically weak. I don't know how anyone could be okay with that woman-like display.

back in the day when my dad played high school football (when they had sharp metal cleats) a guy from a rival school stomped on my dad's nose with his cleats & broke it. my dad went to the sidelines, the coach popped his nose back into place & he kept playing.

BUT these are the pro's. they're getting paid to do a job. not hurt or try to hurt other players. suh did himself no favors with his lame excuse about trying to catch his balance. i think for that BS excuse alone, he shoulda been suspended for stupidity for a couple games & another game at least for the stomp. it's not the first time he's pulled something like this & i predict it won't be his last.

4PG my dad broke his nose a couple of times playing football. It was about 1947-48 so they didn't have much for a face guard.
As for the Suh-ism, I told my kids when they were little if you lie you will get a second punishment. One for the infraction and one for the lie. Suh got off easy.

Watching the incessant replays in the gym today, I thought it was funny how Suh yelled "Bullshit!" and made a gesture like he was tripping when Schwartz was chewing him out on the sidelines. You could see that he was telling Schwartz the same silly story that he told the media after the game.

It didn't look like much of a chew-out by Schwartz.

IMO the worst part of Suh's actions here is his post-action rationalization/rambling/etc. That's what will scare me about this guy come Lions II -- I can see him going off on our quarterback the way he went after Delhomme last year. That he would end up with a major suspension if he did wouldn't do much for me if the next person who comes in for a Suh major cheap shot is Aaron Rodgers.

The stomp *should* be Suh's second suspension -- that Delhomme hit was absolutely vicious.

p.s. to Rourke: Apologies for not returning your calls. I ended up having my ringer off most of Thanksgiving break, and didn't notice the little "message" icon until far too late to get back to you and the Kats.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

No one's toughness is being questioned, silly blond! I'm pretty sure Evan Dietsisichris-Smith continued playing! šŸ˜›
