I am not sure why, but I started getting worried about this game yesterday. I still think the Packers win.

Packers 38
Vikings 17

That was satisfying.

45-7....I had 42-6, CLOSE ENOUGH!!!!!

1-0 Nine weeks in a row!!!!!

IMHO, the most complete, most satisfying win of the year.

What's up with Newhouse? Yeah he was facing Jared Allen but he wasn't just getting beat he was barely even getting a hand on him some of the time. His run blocking has been pretty bad pretty bad too. I really hope he can pick up his play because I'm not sure if Clifton will even be his old self when he gets back from such a bad injury.

Considering you have to account for Kevin Williams and Jared Allen, that was a puzzling move. Allen has been a friggin beast this year, so at least you'd want them to help Newhouse some. Second half, you finally saw McCarthy bring in Quarless and use him to help out more, which should have been the plan all along.

I'm not sure why on earth McCarthy thought it would be a good idea to try and single-block Allen with a young and still-learning player like Newhouse. Perhaps he was testing one possible strategy to use in the games upcoming against strong front-4s vs the Lions and Giants.

Regardless, it should be apparent that if we expect our O-line to single block against those strong D-lines, Aaron Rodgers is going to get hit. A lot. And we may be in a world of hurt.

This was the Pack's best showing of the season IMO. The offense was very good - even after broken plays, they line up again and deliver. Converting on 4th down is something few teams even want to attempt, and they went for it with full confidence. The only thing that scared me was the many hits Rodgers took - the OL needs to keep him protected consistantly.

The D looked a lot better in this game. The coverage was a ton better than we had been seeing. They played the full 60 this time, and that was the missing element up to this matchup. The pass rush made a world of difference. They looked more like the team we have been expecting all season.

Aside from the muffed return, special teams were mostly productive. This is a place the Pack has been lacking a bit. I would like to see more quality returns like we saw in this game. Cobb will only get better with time and experience.

Although they weren't "flawless" the negatives surely didn't hold a candle to the positives. Keep this up, and the beloved trophy may stay in GB for another year.

5 TD day for Rodgers. This team in particular can't stop him at all.

We'll see if the defense shows up. They have enough tape on Ponder\Beast to do something. I have all the faith in the world in Capers but it would be nice to see 60 minutes of dominance ala the offense.

So many things to like about last night's performances, but one of my favorites had to be how Cobb ran on his first return after the muff. Man he was pissed!

Randall Cobb had this to say after muffing his first punt in the NFL and seeing the Vikings score their only TD of the game.

I was pissed off and I ran pissed off, I was anxious to get back out there and just make something happen.
