I have often remarked that it would be interesting if a quarterback fumbled a snap on a kneel-down. Well, Philip Rivers did just that yesterday. I hope that doesn't happen in this game, because that would mean that the Chargers were leading as time expired.

As far as the Chargers go, I watched the Monday night game too. Pretty awful football. For about half of each drive Rivers looked pretty good. The Chiefs were playing man almost the entire game and I thought, "if the Packers come in and do the same thing we did against the Vikings (almost entirely man) then Rivers is going to chew us up." But then he made mistakes or the Chiefs would make a play. The Packers secondary hasn’t been super amazing this year so far, but I think they can play at the same level as the Chiefs. Hope so at least. I don’t think it’s too crazy to expect a couple of interceptions. I like to see the line get a couple of sacks on Rivers too, if only to smoosh his stupid face into the ground. In a nice way, though.
Baring flukey turnovers or penalties I’ll be shocked if the Packers offense doesn’t tear through the Chargers in the first half. Then I imagine we’ll see a bit more of the running game and Rodgers playing to protect the football. It would be nice to see the offense dominate through the air in the first half and then see Grant and Starks have a great second. Combine that with limiting the Chargers to 14 points and it will feel like a very complete game, tie a nice little bow on the second quarter of the season.
