That sir is not conjecture, that sir is a FACTOID! You know it, deep down, you know it!

Anyway, I think Rodgers' '08 stats are entirely relevant to this discussion and not the least bit out of context. Other than the stats, we're pretty much left with our individual impressions of how well Rodgers played. I thought he looked very good in the '08 preseason and very good right from day one of the regular season. Nonstop mentioned the possible criticism that he held onto the ball too long. I will also add that he might be criticized for not finishing games strongly, although the defense seemed to be the biggest problem in that regard. He was impressive in practice too, right from the beginning of training camp.

When you start using conjecture as fact you lose any credibility.

I appreciate satire, irony, and other forms of humor as much as the next man, but coming from someone who frequently complains about not being able to discern sarcasm in print, it would be really nice if you'd be a little more forthcoming with your motives in this thread. Given that there are now several people baffled about what point you're trying to make, I think it's safe to say that the miscommunication is on your end, not ours.

In regard to the statistics posted in this thread, they represent a push as far as I am concerned. If Brett Favre made the receivers in 2007, then it's equally plausible that Aaron Rodgers made them in 2008. Or perhaps the receivers made the quarterbacks. It's all a matter of interpretation. There's no way to prove it one way or the other.

Two names - Bradford and Schroeder - yeah Favre use to make receivers better, until Uncle Ted came along and started drafting talented receivers.

Are there really people out there that think we would have been better off keeping Screaming Lord Byron over Rodgers in 08? Wow, just wow! As far as I'm concerned that waffle ball to Driver, when 4 guys were open, was the last pass I wanted to see him throw.

As far as Zero using conjecture, I just think he's trying to mess with people like I do, but he just lacks the chops to pull it off.

Edit, alright the BYE week is essentially over. I don't really know what this thread is about. I've been mocking Brett Favre's most recent comments about Aaron Rodgers and obviously too subtle for some of you over the hill blowhards to pick up on. I said many times, Brett Favre should have retired after the '07 season, then he did. I said many times he should have stayed retired, even his mother Bonita said the same thing even after the '09 season.

Do I think the Packers are a 13 win team under Aaron Rodgers in '07, no. Unfortunately I have no reasoning for this and am basing it off feeling. Initially I think the OL was very poor and Brett's quick read of an offense helped bail the Packers OL more than we care to admit. I do not think Aaron Rodgers could have emulated that success because he just did not have the experience yet.

Regardless of my fucking with a few dweebs who underestimate my football intelligence (dickheads), the quotes by Bob Harlan about Ted Thompson are why this thread was created. I found them quite interesting and revealing.

So you WERE joking, sort of, I guess. I'm all in favor of humor WHEN IT'S FUNNY. When it's not funny it's just a waste of time, though.

The joke was the fools who couldn't pick up on it, yes, FOOLS! I did feel bad for Dexter and Rourke for dragging it on so long. Poor guys probably want to punch me for obtuse I was being, lol.

No need to feel bad for me. I just wanted you to admit you were being satirical.
