Okay, I have to admit it: This is not a very good football team. I first thought this after they lost at Minnesota, then the Bears game gave me hope. But now it's obvious. Too many injuries, not enough depth, soft on both lines. Today's loss was a real shame because it was a pretty good performance for the offensive line. And yet it was a failure to punch it in on two tries from the one yard line that lost this game as much as anything. The special teams and defense then took care of the rest (in a matter of seconds), and I have to admit, I was not surprised at all.

I think you are right...

Good players, but not a good team.
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another. -Vince Lombardi

Coaching plus Players = Team

Think of it that way and we are on the same page.

Hell this is the same squad that went to the nfc championship game last year with another draft cycle and a years more experence under their belts. We should be performing a bit better every week and we haven't see that. I hope the packers win every week but as of late we have found a new way to shoot ourselfs in the foot every week.

Something has to give. This team is talented. Today should of been a win if not for the terrible call on 4th and 1 on the 1 yard line.

I don't see how people thought our defense played so well against the bears. Orton could barely walk. I don't see any pride in that.

Good talent on the starting lineup....when one of them is injured, we're screwed.

Bad coaching. I stand by statement from a while back we'll finish the last 8 games 2-6

Three straight runs after dominating the passing game, and then not going for it?
Stupid.
Letting Steve Smith catch a jump ball and having no clutch defense YET AGAIN, plus allowing Carolina to score 27 SECONDS after Crosby kicked the 31-28 field goal.
Stupid.
Rodger's throwing a jump ball with 1:19 left on SECOND down, when he could've just thrown it away and had TWO MORE chances.
Stupid.

Face it. This year we've had plenty of opportunities for our defense to clamp down, or our offense to drive down and win the game for us and we haven't. If we could have pulled those games off (I'm looking at Bucs, Titans, Falcons, and Vikings losses) we could be a 9-3 football team. But stupid costly mistakes at the end our killing us (not to mention TERRIBLE play calling).

Plus, the refs are flag happy against us. 8 penalites against GB, 2 against CAR. Honestly, I want to see the stat that shows how many flags are thrown against us vs our opponents this year, it wouldn't surprise me to see a 2:1 ratio.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.

Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
