Packers have received permission from the league to issue more stock to help pay for the latest stadium upgrade.

Start saving your pennies if you want in this time around!

Yay, another chance to buy meaningless, diluted, non-dividend-paying stock. Count me in!

Maybe if they opened Lambeau Field to non-season-ticket holders I would consider it. Maybe.

I'd buy one.

Hell ya I'd want to buy a share! That'd be awesome. I'd frame that shit.

How much longer must you wait to get your season tickets that you've signed up for?

I think I'll use the opportunity to buy each of my kids a share of stock. I already got in back in 97. Heck, maybe I'll buy another share to have the different certificates next to each other.

QUESTION: Does anyone own multiple shares of stock? I.e. Did anyone go and buy 200 shares for themselves, etc? Would seem an odd thing to do...just curious what someone's rationale would be.

Regarding the free tix, my uncle and aunt have received tickets 2 of the last 3 seasons from the city thanks to the lottery. Not bad.

Don't you have to live in Brown County for the lottery to apply? That applies to all of 248,007 people, or less than 0.08% of the United States population.

Oh, and Kevin, what the hell is wrong with wanting to be able to buy a ticket for your own team, like you can at almost any stadium in the league? Why should my only chance to get a ticket be to be forced to wait decades for the privelge of buying a ticket for every home game -- including two preseason games -- an opportunity I would never have the money nor the time to avail myself of? I don't see any way to rationally defend such a system, particularly not from a fan's perspective.

I think you are right on the lottery only being for Brown Co. folks. It was started because of complaints much like yours. "Hey, why should I pay an extra .5% sales tax to pay for a stadium that hosts football games I will likely never get a chance to see in my lifetime?" As a compromise, they built in the "Lottery" seats and the average is supposed to be about 1 game every 5 years. But since not everyone registers, it gets higher. Only catch is that you can't pick your game and some folks don't want to go to pre-season games, cold games, etc.

Problem with buying a ticket at the stadium would be that it means the game isn't sold out and therefore wouldn't be on TV. But you can always find tix if you show up on game day (provided it isn't a big game). Often, folks sell them for face value around the stadium. If you can't find any in the parking lot, go across the street to "Scalper's corner" and you shouldn't have a problem if you are willing to pay. Especially after kickoff. Same as any other NFL city. Stadium is City of Green Bay property so no scalping ordinance applies. Across the street (any direction, the stadium is an "island") it is Ashwaubenon.

I'd rather see us sell out games and earn the revenue than have it the other way around.

dfosterf (22-Feb) : I read De'Vondre Campbell's tweet this morning (via the New York Post) Florio says that if he invested his earnings wisely, he will be good

dfosterf (20-Feb) : Hasn"t Bosa missed more games than he has played in the last 3 years?

Zero2Cool (19-Feb) : Los Angeles Chargers are likely to release DE Joey Bosa this off-season as a cap casualty, per league source.

Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : It should be halted now.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : usually spambots are trying to get traffic to shady websites filled with spyware; the two links being spammed were to the Packers website
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : you know when you put it that way combined with the links it was spamming (to the official Packers website)
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yep. You can do that with holding down ENTER on a command in Console of browser
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : even with the rapid fire posts?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I'm not certain it's a bot.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I've got to go to work soon which is a pity because I'm enthralled by this battle between the bot and Zero
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, I see what that did. Kind of funny.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : now it's a link to Wes Hodkiezwicz mailbag
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Now they're back with another topic
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : oh lol
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : I have a script that purges them now.
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : 118 Topics with Message.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : what's 118 (besides a number)?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : They got 118 slapped in there.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : that's why it confused the hell out of me
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Yeah, but this is taking a headline and slapping it into the Packers Talk
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Wasnt there a time guests could post in the help forum?
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : lol good question, kind of impressed!
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : So how is a guest posting?
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Tell them its an emergency
Zero2Cool (18-Feb) : Working. Meetings.
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : Lots of fun; the spam goes back 4 or 5 pages by this point
Mucky Tundra (18-Feb) : I thought you'd look for yourself and put 2 and 2 together lol. I overestimated ya ;)
