A while back VikesRule (Mr. UserPostedImage himself) and I got to talking and well sparked an interest in attending a Blues Brothers  UserPostedImageshow.. well that really is nothing more than a good excuse to shake Nick's hand and share a couple of laughs.

He was going to start a thread inviting others to attend, but I think he might have gotten tied up (or worked up over the Vikings outlook upon the season [aiee] ) and with the date closing in.. figured better give some notice if anyone is interested.

At the moment, unless VR isn't going to attend.. I and my wife are planning on going. Foster I believe is flying in.. and I believe catching a game.

Yell if you think you might want to attend.. we can fill in the details later.

Seriously, put me down as "definitely interested". (assuming this is available for singles rather than just couples) It gives me a chance to skip town on Homecoming weekend.

Are tickets hard to come by? Is there any problem finding motel rooms in Galena that time of year (I doubt I'll be up to driving back the night of the concert).

I believe Foster is catching the Rams vs Packers that weekend.. at least that is what I recall him saying.

Tickets for the show.. that I am unsure of.. being Nick is connected with the entertainers.. I hadn't checked into that detail as of yet.

As far as accommodations.. there were several different choices of stay.. I believe Nick is staying at the Stoney Creek Inn . A month or so ago.. there was plenty of rooms available..

I know my wife would love to do this, the main issue being whether our precarious financial state would allow it.

Sigh,
I was looking forward to this trip. But signs are that the day job plus The Mom mean I'm not going to be able to make the Galena trip after all. I've still got it on my calendar, but it's likely to be a last minute decision -- so don't count on me.

Sorry about that, Shawn/Nick/Dave/Rourke/anyone else going.
