Brian Urlacher deals with family emergency, status for Sunday unclear

There's an article over at PFT saying Brian Urlacher left due to do a family emergency related to his mother. Nearly all of us have to suffer losing our mother at some point in life ... no matter when it happens, it usually feels far too soon.

Maybe I'm weak or a softy or both, but I get a little emotional anytime I read the words, a mother has passed away.

Brian Urlacher’s mother dies suddenly at the age of 51 in her Texas home. I know it's inevitable that we all will lose our parents, but theres just something about a parent passing before 70+ or so that doesn't sit well with me.

Wow. She was young. I feel for Brian.

Mom is 77. I know am not ready for that day. I am not sure but I think it will be a lot harder for me than when Dad passed away. He suffered with cancer for 5 years so who knows. If she has something like that perhaps it won't be as difficult as I imagine.

My respects and prayers go out to him and his family in this tragic and difficult time.
