Lose 5 of 6 to the Cardinals and still hold an 8.5 game lead. Wow!

Since 2000 they would have won the division in only 3 seasons. (Prob been the WC a few times but I didn't check.) 2003, 06 and 07. The winner those years had an avg of .543, .516 and .525. They also would have tied the last 2 years with .562 avg. (rounding gives Milwaukee a total of 91 wins for the season.)

So it makes their lead this year all the more amazing.

There is no doubt if the lead was only 2-4 games they would be putting forth a little more effort. It is a long season and they have dropped back a notch as they head toward the finish line. I think they will crank it back up in the last week to 10 days in order to be going full bore when the playoffs come.

I come here to
1 talk about the Packers.
2. talk about other NFL teams. I do not go to Bears, Vikings or other teams fan boards to talk about their teams.
3. I talk about topics in general
4. St Louis and baseball in general.

I belong to another Packer's board but I don't go there any longer. I enjoy the people and the dynamics we have here. I am here way too much and participating in yet another board would consume even more time than I should spend on the internet.

I do belong to a board that devotes it's time to the University of Illinois. I focus mainly on college basketball there. I will talk about the Cardinals as well. Also a little, very very little about general topics but I find them even more political in nature than here so I only post infrequently.

Since I am a Cardinal fan I do not feel the need to belong to a Brewers based board just like I don't join the boards for other fans.

As I said. If you really don't want baseball discussed here then just lock the thread. The season is almost over anyway. If not then please leave it for those of us who do not wish to belong to yet another site.

Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (30-Jan) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (30-Jan) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (30-Jan) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (30-Jan) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Packers coach Matt LaFleur hires Luke Getsy as senior assistant, extends Rich Bisaccia's deal
Zero2Cool (27-Jan) : Chiefs again huh? I guess another Super Bowl I'll be finding something else to do.

buckeyepackfan (26-Jan) : That brings up the question, why wasn't Nixon down by contact? I think that was the point Kanata was making.
