Sherrod was awful tonight. Frankly, he did not play well at LT either. Maybe if he had minicamps and OTAs, he would've been ready, but right now, they need to take it slow with him.
I personally didn't see Lang take the job from Sherrod. Sherrod gave it to Lang, which is not a good thing in my view, but Lang wasn't awful. He wasn't as good as Daryn College, though.
The QB play was outstanding. Graham Harrell looked comfortable for the first time in this offense. Matt Flynn continues to look like a future starter down the road. I understand he's up against poor competition, but his New England game last year speaks for itself. This guy is really impressive.
Alex Green had a great run on a screen pass. I think that is something we'll see much of in the regular season.
Overall, the team was sluggish out of the gate. I'm worried about the first team offense's tempo. Rodgers took too many hits, but Darnell Dockett does that to everybody. Defensively, Dom Capers is holding back obviously, so I don’t think there is anything to be concerned with unless the officials’ definition of pass interference is what Tramon Williams did to Larry Fitzgerald. That was an awful call.
It was a typical preseason victory. Personally, I thought Ryan Williams’ injury was a bigger story than anything the Packers accomplished. That is a huge blow for the Cardinals.
