Name something useful the British did (non-art related) besides radar in the past 100 years. Pretty much everything invented in the past 100 years was by Americans, Japanese, Germans, or the Dutch.

Now granted, Americans have severe sexual hangups (like this skirt being too short - wtf). But take a guess which country we got those from?

Actually, history tells us that the so-called British accent is newer than the American accent. Originally the British accent was rather similar to the traditional Standard American Pronunciation, but back in the 1700s, when the German princes ascended to the throne of England, nobles began to cultivate a German-sounding accent in order to curry favor with the throne, thus giving rise to the Received Pronunciation or British Accent. Having lived in Germany now for over half a year, I find it quite easy to see where the various attributes of the British accent (clipped consonants, soft vowels, etc.) came from.

By way of clarification, it wasn't the skirt in the video to which the security guard objected. Apparently, she bought that skirt to mollify him. The original skirt was about an inch shorter.

Still, seriously?

I did know the British royalty is really German. And they're also quite inbred. But then again, most royalty is inbred. The Hapsburgs and the Russians took it to an extreme.

As for the skirt, wow. I've seen high school cheerleaders wear less at the games. (And no, NSD, I never went all the way with a high school cheerleader. One of my biggest regrets from HS is I didn't have that much diversity).

This country needs to seriously lighten up. And yet again, I blame the British.
