I lost interest in becoming a Professor after the PC police cracked down on Profs sleeping with students. WTF. That should be a perk.

Back on topic - agreed about Jenkins. Replacing him won't be easy. WHEN he's on the field, he's elite. His stats prove that. He makes tackles AND sacks QBs. Not too many 3-4 DL have comparable stats.

I'd argue that Dom and Tgvorac will be able to make a pass rushing specialist out of Mike Neal and big Howard can stuff the run better than Jenkins.

Let's spend the money wasted on Barnett, Jenkins, and J.Jones and blow everyone's minds for Oshumugha. Then he Woodson can ease into retirement.

I agree the title isn't the best for this piece but I like the idea of an article pointing possible guys to step up and that might be over looked.

QB Flynn: Hopefully he's not on the field unless we're up by a ton, because that means something would of happened to Rodgers.

RB Green: Grant and Starks haven't been the best blockers and Jackson might be gone, while Green was a very good pass blocker and pass catcher in a passing spread offense in college. So there is the chance he could become the 3rd down back. Though I think Starks has more power for short yardages downs. Starks also caught pretty well in college so he might be the 3rd down back if he's blocking improves and/or Green isn't ready quite yet.

WR Nelson: Nelson had his break out when they needed wins, but the question is can he keep it up? They Packers might need him to if Jones is gone and Driver and/or Finley don't bounce back from a year with injuries.

OT Tauscher: Ummm wouldn't OT Sherrod or OL Lang be a better choice, seeing as Tuasher said he doesn't know if he's coming back? Lang will probably get the first shot at LG if Colledge doesn't come back and Sherrod will back-up the OTs and if he performs well enough might also get a shot at LG. Also some rumors out there, that if Tausher doesn't come back as a player, the Packers might offer him the assistant offensive line coach position which who knows Tausher might be able to make an impact there.

DE Neal: Didn't play a lot but looked like he over power guys, and the scary thing is he can get better... also I thought DL Green did pretty well himself... I wonder if he lost some weight (to get quicker) and focused in on 3-4 DE if he could be a big player there.

OLB Zombo: I think Zombo gets over looked because he wasn't flashy, fancy or overly quick at all but point blank he brought the physical play and control his gaps to his side. His bull rush pushed guys back a bit, but needs to get a bit lower/stronger with it and needs to learn how to work other moves off of his bull rush (which Coach Greene made a great career for himself that way) but Zombo did very well for a rookie at a new position.

WR Cobb: Should be a big improvement as a returner but still the blocking in front of him needs to get better (they did draft another STer in TE Ryan Taylor) and from some of the things MM has said I'm expecting a WR screen to Cobb (hopefully with Nelson or TE blocking) and they could go 4 wide.

P Masthay: Masthay had some very good games, like against the Jets.

beast you did a good job. If the guy who wrote this article hadn't said that these players would be critical for GB to return to the SB I would have been more willing to listen to him.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
