My personal choice for sentimental reasons is not a classic moment for most people. Won't even make the top 10 list.
But for me it will be Game 3 2006 World Series. (No video of that game on you tube.) It was my last ball game with Dad. On the way in he looked at me and said Chris Carpenter will throw a 1 hitter. I said, "Dad, Detroit has a pretty good hitting team." "All right. He will throw a 2 hitter then!" Dad was way off. It was a 3 hitter. And a shut out.
#2 moment was the Miracle on Ice wins (Soviet on Friday and Finland on Sunday.) As great as the Friday win was if they lost on Sunday they may not have medal gotten the bronze.
Never mind. I looked at the final standings. I think they would have lost out on a medal IF Sweden had beaten the Soviets which they did not.
