Last Thursday, I took the girls, Lydia and Keiana to their mother's in Wisconsin. We left at 4pm and I drove until 5:30am before taking a one hour nap and then finishing it off. We arrived in Green Bay around 11am. I was completely exhausted to say the least. From Greeley, CO to Des Moine, IA it was raining horribly and even during a 15 mile stretch large ass hail. It was so bad that I was down to 30mph at one point. I felt like I was driving through a hail blizzard, it was white knuckle intense.
Saturday I spent mostly with my sister. She's really cool, very pretty too. She wanted to meet at Best Buy because her mother refused to allow anyone in their "messy" house. This panicked the shit out of me. I'm terrible at meeting new people and in a public setting?? After a few minutes of being a girl, I drove to Best Buy, walked in and found a girl that looked somewhat like her. I asked "what do you think of that laptop?". She jumped saying I scared the crap out of her and said she thought it was cool. I still had no clue if this was her or not so I'm thinking how do I exit this awkward situation... keep in mind she's pretty and you all know how I am with saying with what's on my mind. So I asked "ya like this one better than the ones ya sent me" she said no and FINALLY confirmation, this was indeed my sister. I exhaled large there as if I just found out I wasn't going to have my arm cut off.
We talked a bit, went to see a movie, then went to eat where our Uncle Jeff works and ended up talking for about four hours there. Then drove around until about midnight as I showed her all the places Dad and I lived and the buildings Dad helped built as a mason. She had lots of questions and it was really great telling her about the family.
Sunday, I picked her up and took her to Buffalo Wild Wings for her first time, then took her to Packers Hall of Fame. I seen Don Majkowski and said "dad did the brick work on his home on Indian Trails" she was pretty impressed with all the things dad has worked on in the area. I should point out that I kicked her ass in the Packers Trivia (You Don't Know Pack) while on Veteran and she was on Rookie. Just. Saying!

http://packershome.com/zGraphics/HallOfFame/ Monday I visited my dad for about three hours then drove back home. I had to take two breaks this time. I just couldn't keep my head on the road. I got back "home" around 3:30pm to a completely empty house. I won't lie, it's extremely depressing and I can't remember being this miserable before. I absolutely hate not having my little girl with me and I have what feels very little to keep my mind off it. I want to engulf myself with the site, but it's so hard to stay sitting down feeling like this. I know I'll snap out of it, it's just when that worries me.
