Our ST was never as good as when we had Tracey White leading the unit. I don't mind saving one roster spot for a ST ace, but he'd really have to be amazing because we our probably going to have a really hard time trimming the roster down to 53.

I don't think the Packers keep him at TE. I think they'll make him convert to FB. Keep in mind; John Kuhn and Korey Hall are both free agents. Mike McCarthy also uses his FBs quite a bit. I think that is worth nothing.

My quess is we drafted him for his special teams talent with the thought he can help with other positions in a pinch. Ted Thompson likes versatility in these later picks. We can easily makes room if it's warranted by only going with 2 FBs, where he may be able to help in a pinch.
